New Grower First grow ever. Will keep updated regularly. Feel free to tag along

Here is a quick snap of the babes. I'll give full update later. They are sleeping right now but I wanted to go check on them to make sure they were alright haha

Day 12 Widows
Day 7 Zkittlez

~73°f lights off, 80°f lights on
~55-75%RH
-No water
-No nutes
-19/5 light cycle
-26in light distance

They are really blowing up now. I'm getting pumped. I'll probably give them a good watering in the morning after the soil dries out a bit more. They just woke up from their nap not too long ago so they should drink up a bit overnight. Just waiting patiently for the zkittlez to do her thing. I hope she gets some crazy growth like these widows because I'm impressed.

Day 8 Zkittlez

~74°f lights off, 81°f lights on
~55-70%RH
-No water
-No nutes

-Light distance 26 in

The widows are getting bigger every day. They are still decently moist and not droopy yet so I'm going to hold off on watering. Next water I'll probably soak the bags to minimal run off. There is a bunch of new development and the main stems are getting much sturdier. I'll update more if I see anything fun and exciting happening.

So the girls are doing well and really growing all the way around. I have been pushing down the branches that are rising above the others every now and then. I'll keep an eye out for more vertical growth, and then I will start some lst and tie these babes down. The widows are really blowing up and the biggest fan leaves are starting to reach to the side of the grow bags. I watered the bags all the way to the edge today and had minimal run off which was absorbed almost immediately from the catch trays. This is the first time I have watered the babes to run off, and I am hoping that with their increased growth the roots will reach out for that water and blow up. It has been a few days since last watering so they were in need of a good soaking. The zkittlez growth seemed really slow compared to the widows, but it is really starting to pick up as well so I have my fingers crossed.

So I found something funny looking on the zkittlez. Typically it's a one leaf set then a three finger set, then five finger set, etc. This is a weird one because for the second set it went straight to five fingers on one leaf and a four finger on the other leaf. Hope this isn't a messed up strain. This is a newer strain from Seedsman so hopefully they have the kinks worked out and these are not crazy plants lol

Also considering raising the light because I do not have very much stretch at all. These are laying flat and getting wider but not taller, the biggest widow is only 3in tall at 14 days old/17 days from planting. Getting a little of leaf curl on the edges too so I am wondering if these lights are a little too much for the babes at 26in. I have not found a solid guide yet for these lights. I have read some people say like 12-18 in but that would roast these things. I know it haha. Some people say like 36in. I have been running between 20-26in the whole life of these plants and I am thinking I might pull it back a bit so that I can see if they will get more vertical growth started. I'm thinking I'll go to 28 in for a few days and see what happens

-Day 15 Widows
-Day 10 Zkittlez

~70°F lights off, 78°F lights on
~40-65% RH
-No water
-No nutes
-19/5 light cycle
-26 in light height

So they seem to be growing more vertical even from earlier today. Going to keep the lights at 26 in for now. The widows undergrowth is finally big enough that I can start tucking the leaves up on top of the first 3 fingers and they are starting to grow grow grow. I'm going to bend these babes in a few days most likely to fully expose that undergrowth. Just waiting for a little bit more stretch so I have a nice area to tie down to. The zkittlez is much smaller but I bet it will be contending with these two in 5 days. If you guys weren't here from the beginning I murdered ww [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG], hence why there is a [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] and [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] but no [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] haha. The zkittlez took it's place and got planted in the ground 5 days later than the other widows were planted. Got a bunch of photos to show you all today of the undergrowth and all the goodness. The widows are almost stretched to the edge of their bags. Its finally getting real!

I might start feeding veg nutes at a 1/4 strength next watering, along with the cal-mag I have been feeding with every watering, because of the RO water. I'll see how I feel and see how they look. It's been close to three weeks and with this only being about 40% hot soil I'm thinking they will need a feed here sooner than later. I might replenish my oyster shell buffer as well either through top dressing into the soil or just mixing with my feed solution. Either way it's doing the same thing. This is to try and prevent the shock that can come from the fox farm soils going way out of whack with the ph. I'm hoping that I can overcome some of their shortcomings and have a good grow! I'll update more when I get to that point :pass:

Day 16 Widows
Day 11 Zkittlez

So I saw something funny on one of the widows leaves. Doesn't look to be widespread throughout the plant so I'll keep and eye on it. Going to start nutes at 1/4 strength veg nutes on the widows. I'm going to hold off on feeding the zkittlez but it will get a good watering of RO and cal-mag. Enter nutes for the first time ever in my life. Hope I'm not making a mistake and going too early but I think they are ready and getting stronger by the day. So let's start at 1/4 strength and see what's up after!

~69°F lights off, 76°F lights on
~40-55%RH
-2.5 liters RO water 6.5 pH per widow just enough until minimal runoff they were really dry, 1 liter cal-mag water for zkittlez
-15ml/gal fox farm big bloom 0-0.5-0.7,
-1.25ml/gal fox farm grow big 6-4-4,
-2.5ml/gal botanicare cal-mag plus 2-0-0
-19/5 light cycle
-25in light distance

This is the widow with the weird messed up leaf. It was sitting with another leaf right on top of it so that might have caused it but I have literally no idea, I'm just throwing out a random guess.

Well on the plus side they are not roasted yet from the good watering and feed last night. They we're starting to droop a bit but they have really perked up from last night's watering and are sitting pretty now. This is the first time I watered to more than a trickle of runoff so I was worried about over doing it. The roots are going to be reaching now and I didn't want any dry spots in the bags. I'll give the full update later tonight! All I can say for now is that the babes loved the feed because they grew a crap ton over night. Or maybe I'm just thinking they did haha. But there is definitely new growth from like 7 hours ago
