Both sides do certainly have compelling arguments which is why I ran a side by side comparison and the difference was clear. Unflushed - harsh and black ash. Flushed - smooth and white ash. They were photos but I can't see that making any difference.I’m definitely all about tasting bud and not nutrients. I’m on the fence about the whole flushing argument though, both sides have compelling points with experienced growers. I am leaning toward the non flushing side, but I’ve been wrong about plenty of things so far. This next 45 days will be enlightening enough — I’m going to be a busy girl. 2 weeks after GG is harvested, NL1 will come down, and 2 weeks after that NL2 will probably be ready. So I have plenty of opportunity to get this flushing/harvesting/drying/curing routine down to a science and figure out what works for the ladies and my lungs.
Just my two, but being able to improve my bud by doing less and spending less... no brainer!
You’ve got quite the thirst for knowledge yourself, watching your grows and your approach is inspiring.
Speaking of AFN staff, a big thank you for sharing your knowledge and dedication to the community! You make this what it is. Somehow we’ll muddle through the AFN stand down, the blind leading the blind and all that. Here I am, lurching in fits and starts blindly in the direction of my first harvest, a wee babe in the woods, probably some messes for you all to fix when the break is over! Too many staff members have personally lent me their insight and advice to thank individually, I’m sure I’d leave someone out. But a big hug
and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
