New Grower First Ever Grow Mephisto Triangle Kush!!

some coco is compressed in bricks some aint.some coco needs rinsed out some need pre charging with calmag.coco likes to be moist to wet very unlike soils wet dry cycles.a dry pocket of coco in the pot and ph can be all over the shop.
soil has more of a wingability to it,coco you kinda have to stay ontop of it.
not trying to put you off coco (yes i am) but only cause its your first grow and i want to see you make it to harvest with an ok result.
if your set on coco please do a lil extra reading up,and have a few supplies on hand before you get stuck in.
good luck n keep er lit.
:pighug:

Appreciate you trying to put me off and I understand why.

I also want to grow so I can learn and read a bit. I've stopped drinking so a little extra time and care on the plant will be good for me. Definitely going to make sure I have the basics in place before I plant though.

Seems as though testing PH while mixing won't be hard or expensive. I certainly need to bone up on EC/PPM though.

I use wilko Coco blocks, £4 for 20litres after soaking.

Sent from my comfy chair.

Taken longer than I hoped to get all the kit here...................

Going to take @archie gemmill advice and use soil, at least for the first couple of run throughs.

Soil and nutes should be here the 'morra and I should also be able to finally have the tent set-up :)

Just seed to pick.........

Decided to go with the Mephisto Triangle Kush and have finally got the tent set-up.

Please let me know if you see anything off with the set-up. Temps running around 25 celsius on a 3 hour test.

Hoping to start germinating this weekend and maybe even in soil by Sunday?

Cheers.

Need a bit of help guys please.

I have had the Triangle Kush seed in water for just over 48hrs but no germination yet. There is a slight whitening at one end of the seed but that hasn't changed in 24hrs.

  • Should I just leave it to continue to soak (I was going to germ in the water)
  • Put her in some paper towels?
  • Put her in the soil?
Many thanks.

Hi Eijim.. If you tap on the seed and it sinks (usually will after 24hrs), you can then place in soaked paper towel and leave in a nice warm spot.. Wait for taproot to show about quarter inch then place into soil..

Thanks @Avalanche Blanch

Seed has been sunken since Sunday morning. Since then nothing but the white area at one end.

I put a heater in the grow tent, where the seed is sitting in the glass, but I was just nervous about changing the seeds environment again. Just to confirm It should be dark only right, no light?

Cheers.

It's a pretty common technique to put seed in glass for 24hrs, then paper towel.. I use water that seed has been soaking in to soak paper towel and just put it on a plate with another plate over the top for humidity.. then place on window sill..

@Dudeski @Unique ... Hey guys, is this similar to how you do it?
