New Grower First Ever Grow- Mephisto Seeds/Coco/Megacrop

Hey there - with photos I tend to go all out on defoliation, anything that does not get light goes, bud sites and leaves.
I am now doing my first auto run and am doing the same thing, scissors always at the ready - ultimately I would suggest it is personal preference. I am sure it makes a difference when done right or wrong but the ladies will tell you rather swiftly if you are a little too abusing

take care

Are they in flower yet? I add BE at start of flower when I flip. With defoliation, if you are still vegging, don’t take a lot. Big fans pretty much. Just before flip I would take off all fans and thin them out then only fans and ones that are over bud sites after that. Tried to follow nebula haze’s defoliation tutorial from groweeedeasy.com . She has two, veg and flower. So... for defol, not a lot in veg, just before flip and 3weeks after flip. Then only when necessary. Pics of my girls feb 18then after defol this am

Yes they’re definitely in flower now. probably was in preflower for a week if it’s based on pistils at bud sites. I starred BE two days ago now. They seem like they’re enjoying it. Im giving them 25g of MC/5G of BE/2g of Sea K. Going to post some pics shortly.
Thanks for the resource! I’ll check it out now. I’ve been trying to keep it to a minimum. I’ve only recently started cutting daily to support their stretch. The MBAP definitely needed it.

Day 45: Nute Feeds and Photos.

Whats going on AFN, hope everyone enjoying their Saturday :smoking: . Having my nespresso before I start cleaning out the space where I plan on building a room. Hopefully it will be up by the end of this grow. This first grow has been a ride so far. I’ve made some mistakes and learned from all of them. I’ve started feeding the girls twice a day to keep their medium wet. Once a day was no longer enough, especially for the 50 shades of grape...

Feeds since the beginning of weeks 6 has been 25g of MC/5g of BE/2g of Sea K In 5gal of filtered water at 277ppm due to snow. 5.7-5.8ph. Will increase the MC and BE 1g/week for the next two weeks and see how the ladies take it. Will cap out on the BE at 7g if they can take it.

The Pinot Noir is continuing to grow. I kick myself day By day, wondering why I didn’t LST her earlier or even top her. I wish I had a great nose so I can just Smell her all morning. I have been trying to tie her branches out a bit but have since slowed down since my accident with the 50 shades of grape.

The ManBearAlienPig has been coming along great. she definitely need to be defoliated. The bud sites were struggling to get light. Since her trimming, she has started to stretch and catch up to the Pinot Noir. I’ve tied her branches down a bit since they were a bit weaker than the the other two due how foliage she had but she is trying to catch up. She may take the longest to harvest but she can take her time if she likes :pighug:

Now for the 50 Shades of Grape.... She’s HUGE! Well at least to me lol. She’s currently 33inches above the pot and that’s with the two main colas being tied down a bit, cutting off three inches of height from them.if she had the space, I can branch her out more , but she doesn’t. She could have had this tent to herself. I topped her on day 20, as well as had two accidental toppings on her from branches snapping. One snap caused three bud sites to grow much bigger than they would have while the other caused two new branches to Grow bigger. Been keeping an eye for hermies. None so far, but I will definitely continue to look. Had to move up the light for her, which helped the bottom canopy overall with light distribution or at least it seemed that way to me visually.

Photos in order: Tent day 45 is first 3, Pinot Noir d45, MBAP d45, 1L cup compared to 50 shades of Grape (couldn’t find anything else for photo atm lol), close ups of 50 shades of Grape bud sites.

Very nice grow bro. And thanks for stopping in my Mephisto Jammy Dodgers and Orange-utan. I'm doing a topping experiment on my 3 jammy dodgers autos. The biggest is topped twice for 4 main colas already and growing nice. The smaller two I topped one of those once and wont top it again. The other I have topped twice now and when she recovers ill top a third time for 8 main colas. I may even top her side branches once just for fun. The Jammy Dodgers Experiment. I will follow your grow as well. Looking great! Thay grape looks like she's gonna be beastly for sure. Rep points sent for the nice growing! Happy farming!

Sorry I dont feel like going back thru the thread. What is in your pots, soil or coco? What you feed with? Nutes or you doing organic? Just curious. I run mega crop 2 part nutes with 0ppm ro water in mother earth Coco Coir and in Biobizz Light Mix Soil. Recharge for bennies and that's it for me other than a lil bit of ph up and sometimes but rarely ph down.

Appreciate the rep, bro! I saw your topping experiment. I'm keeping my eye on it. I topped the 50 shades of grape, as well as 2 accidental toppings. Wish I would have just went full send, and topped all three but that's what I got more seeds for. Super jealous of your Jammy D's, hoping to get some when they drop.

I'm currently using Cloud Coir 50%/50% Coco Perlite in 5 gal fabric pots. I use Greenleaf Nutes also. I use 1 part Megacrop, Bud Explosion, Sea K, and Recharge for bennies. SF2000 at 24/0 due to temps, although I now have a heater. I may just finish this run at 24/0 though and switch to 20/4 for my next run. I use filtered tap water that was avering 180ppm before all the snow. Now I average 260ppm tap water. Doesn't seem to bother the ladies. That's funny, I use ph down all the time, have yet to open my ph down.

meant to say I haven't opened my ph up... :baked:

Day 47: Tent photo, weekly Recharge bath

Decided to do a short update since I’m already here lol. The girls are continuing to stretch. I‘m trying to halt all defoliation unless the leaf was blocking growing bud sites. I didn’t start any defoliation until a week before stretch So I didn’t interrupt their veg stage too much.

I gave them their Recharge bath this morning. Each received 2.5L of the solution. I then gave them their usual feed about 7 hours later. Will give them their second daily Nute feed at midnight. They are feed twice a day, except for Monday’s where they receive their Recharge bath in the morning. I’m not worried about overwatering since I’m using plant raisers with coco. Still feeding 25g of MC/5g of BE/ 2g of Sea K. Will up it to 26g of MC/5G of BE/2g of Sea K the beginning of week 7. This is in 5 gal of filtered tap water (currently 258 ppm due to snow)

Will give a more detailed update on each plant on Wednesday.
