Unless its broken or cracked i wouldn't even tape it....right now as we debtate its mortality it has raised its head to say..." i'm not dead yet!"

Thanks Lads, yeah I'm gonna splint & tape them up today, when ( & if) the rain stops. Yes they are really healthy looking, I was quite surprised that they have done this at such an early stage of flowering... Lassard Bad.jpeg

Not not dead yet G !! The stems have a small split where they folded. The stem can't hold the weight of it's cola now, even dry, and it's very very early flowering stage so I have two concerns;

1. bacterial / fungal infection in the split
2. continual weight increase on the damaged stem

so my though is i need to seal the splits and splint the stem with plant tape and support with stake and hope they can get through. Just need this rain to stop so I can perform surgery :PH Reading..?: :peace:

Yep if its an open wound i would duct tape it..brave the rain son and go fix it.

I dropped my LED and severely bent the main stem on my Amnesia #1, beyond 90 degrees. I used a wooden meat skewer and broke it into like 5, 2" pieces. I stripped out a couple inches of wide packing tape, stuck the pieces of skewer onto the tape, then splinted the bend. 2 weeks later, just a thick spot in the stem, and a happy plant.

Oh no dropped the light !!! I feel better now, at least I didn't do it lol. These went past 90 deg, was nearer to 180 ! Good to hear of the recovery yeah I am going to splint with size specific spliced bamboo (like a half arm cast) & plant tape. Hopefully they will recover like yours did. thanks tag :peace:

I got a buddy in oz that tells of a buddy that uses rebar grid to "lst"...the crazy oz jst throws it on his patch it bends an breaks shit an comes back stronger..could be a weird ozzy thang...like blue ticks that can paralys u.

LOL can't say I know him. I might just stick to selectively breaking shit with my shears !

The suns now shining again and medical attention has been rendered :PH Reading..?:. Olive received a split bamboo splint, secured with grafting & electrical tape + staked. Her cola is now standing up proudly again. Tilly's bend was just above the node, no split in the stem, so she's just been staked up. Prognosis unknown for a few days.
