Outdoor First auto grow journal, Buddha's Magnums + Shortsuff's Purple Amnesia

It's all over

Well my first auto grow is over. As expected along the way it hasn't been a very good grow with everything they've had to cope with and I'm happy to see the back of this grow . I chopped two yesterday and the other two today. A few days short of 12 weeks, there had been no further development of buds in about a week, it's getting cool, they are losing sunlight, weakened state..insects starting to damage so it was time. They are the crapiest looking buds I have ever grown, they look crap, they smell crap LOL. I dried a bud in a paper bag in my car and have had a smoke..it's not bad, will be ok after curing, but it will be my bottom shelf for sure lol. Oooh, I was at a market on Sunday and a crystal dealer had loupes for sale for $6, so I scored one. The trics are mainly clear with some cloudy. I gave Olive a haircut in her pot for graduation day, here she is after being shorn....

View attachment 445013 In summary, I think my soil micro life was lacking or was imbalanced , the initial high ph and subsequent treatment with aluminium sulphate possibly caused problems with toxicity to the plants and soil life. Too much rain, leaching my soil of nutrients & water logging roots.

The mutant runt looks as healthy as can be with little buds, it's actually very cute and it's so healthy..roots not as deep perhaps to cause problems of her big sisters ?

So the title says Buddha Magnums & Purple Amnesia. I planted the PA's and they grew quickly, very tall and 3 males out of 5. Turns out there was a packaging mistake and they were not autos, they are a photo as I suspected lol, but a mystery, which is cool. The two girls went into the ground, are now 6ft , looking good and early flowering nicely underway. Should be ready in June.

I am going to give auto's a go next spring-summer. I know I'll get a better result in that weather and I am preparing their soil in the next couple of weeks to have it ready and firing for Sept. Lessons learnt, onwards & upwards :peace:
