Outdoor First auto grow journal, Buddha's Magnums + Shortsuff's Purple Amnesia

The suns now shining again and medical attention has been rendered :PH Reading..?:. Olive received a split bamboo splint, secured with grafting & electrical tape + staked. Her cola is now standing up proudly again. Tilly's bend was just above the node, no split in the stem, so she's just been staked up. Prognosis unknown for a few days.

Looking awesome Vas. They seem very happy, probably get a huge knuckle and better growth because of it. I super cropped photos and they get big green bulges at the snap location. How are they smelling now?

Hi DV, yeah they look good this morning. VERY stinky !! can smell it from a couple of metres away ! I normally top my photo's 3-4 times while in early veg. I am estimating another 5-6 weeks for these girls.

The Secret Buddha Garden

Starting week 8 this weekend...here is my secret Buddha Magnum garden.. IMG_0817.jpg, the girls blend in with the vegetation nicely... clockwise from far right...Olive, Flo, Tammy, Tilly.

OliveOlive.jpg, Tilly Tilly.jpg....out of all four she has expressed Indica genes through her leaves more so than the others. Tammy Tammy.jpg.
Flo Flo.jpg

The girls are looking pretty healthy and starting to muscle up nicely. So around 4 to 5 weeks till chop I am guestimating at this stage.

I harvested a couple of my guerilla grow plants early as I’ve been out of buds. I pretty much set & forget with them.. plenty of water crystals & slow release granules, then I just leave them to themselves,. They get one visit to pull any males, girls get given a shot of P & K and left alone again. I went and chopped a couple of them early so I wouldn’t be temped to cut one of my tended girls. A high attrition rate high of course, but the tough survive and a few ounces for little effort & very little cost. aaah to have buds in the jar again, and with more a month away, life’s good :peace:

Might be a bit different where I am but we have Heat going back to 30C in a weeks time. I can't wait until the temps drop below 20C daily so I can start my indoor grow.
No rain where I am but that's OK for me.

Hey Dingo,

From monday, supposed to be sunny 26-29 deg, for at least three day, hope they got it right lol. I'm more worried about mould on my photo's at the moment. I'm in northern rivers, nsw.

hows this grow going?

Hey luca,

How's this grow going ? could be better, lol.

half way through week 9, no pics, need camera batteries, will update pics next couple of days.

My fears of a week ago came true (perfect mould conditions) and had some grey mould after it rained all of easter. had to take out a branch on one of the magnums and a bud off one of my photo's on Monday. Thankfully the weather has switched to autumn and the humidity has dropped substantially. The magnums buds are forming quite well but lacking any density, so probably a 13 week job I am thinking, so I took the step of spraying with 1 part milk / 9 parts water as a mould preventative. I will apply this every 10 days till harvest. The leaves have also come under attack from a muncher but the damage isn't too bad and no further damage last couple of days. These poor girls have copped so much rain over the nine weeks, their soil has never dried below 1 cm. I'm really looking forward to a auto grow from next Sept-Dec when I get hot, dry weather :peace:

Week 10, not looking good

Ok the girls are around the 10 weeks old mark. Mother Natures been cranky this week. Cut mould off one branch on monday. Have had insect attack on leaves as well. The leaves are starting to discolour but I am assuming that is age. What is concerning is that the bud development seems somewhat retarded in the last week after the big rain over easter, the mould and the insect attack. They are generally not looking as good as they were 9 days ago. Tested soil... 6.8. The soil was dry enough to give them a drink of compost tea with some K added this morning.

Here are a couple of pics of the colas. Best close up’s I can do. There is very little pistils coming through and I would have thought at 10 weeks the buds & pistils would be more advanced. They just don’t look right. They are nowhere near ready and I really cannot see them finishing off very well. Olive cola.jpg Tilly cola.jpg. Olive.jpg :peace:
