FD's Guide to Growing Hefty Autos in Small Places.

Ok guys i have been dragging my knuckles on this for too long. This thread will be dedicated to my actual grow technique. I will have everything in here from the way i germ seeds to the way i harvest and everything in between.

ill cover my soil mixes, teas, water adjustments, feeding schedules as well as the recipes for the soil and teas that i use. My goal is to teach how to grow the bud lumps you see in the small pots i use. I feel if you use this you may have the same success that i do when it comes to autos in small places.

Bare with me as i will update this on the regular, but will be locking it to get it all organized.

There are several of you that are already doing this and are seeing the results already. Wiz has seen some astronomical changes in his gals since he has been treating his water in the way of my method.

Most of you know how important it is to give the plants we love what they need. What do you think would happen if you could super charge their growth in an area that is only ment to provide small and minimal yields? Well i can tell you that if done correctly and checked on the regular, you can pull yields in 1 gal 6in pots that the guys growing in 2 and 3 gal pots get. The best part about it all, its in the water that you feed them.

Most of us know that the roots of cannabis love o2 (...)

Amazing post! Thank you so much for this 5* information! I went to the sopping mall and got myself a air-pump, oxigen cable and a difusing stone :D And it was so inexpensive, compared to what it does to the plant that I can hardly believe it!

I have one little stupid question though: How can you get the end of the cable on the bottom of the water? 0_o it floats!

Coco Coir

Get yourself some Coco (referred to as Coco, pronounced Coco Coyer) and new nutes and it will double your yield. Its just like Hydro, almost. Canna in the Netherlands is the best. AN in Canada makes a pH free version thats supposed to be good. Id look into it.

Its the best advice I ever got .:toke:

Wrong. The idea behind bubbling the water is to get more oxygen to the roots, and it works with or without nutes.

Bubbling water dont work. I tried it. Plantologists (2 with too many degrees) say they need Co2 to grow. Photosynthesis Rules! Sodastream makes a 1 qt Bubbler for 88 bucks on the web :bong:

Andy, My Pineapple express was over 150g dryweight. One of my favorites

There is no thread in any other forum better than this.

That may be true. But the 1st rule of the net is dont believe anything you read. Anything. The FD Thread has loads of information. FD is the Man. Muddy is the best man youll ever not meet. Thai Buddah is the finest moderater.

Im still a little confused on using a airstones to oxgenate water but I do it anyway just to make me feel better. This brings me to something that ive been thinking about for awile now. H2O2...hydrogen peroxide....

LOL You Oxygenate the water because fish are fucking animals and need oxygen to breathe. Plants need CO2. Get off the Ozone trip lol

People not plants have been using H2O2 for years for self healing.

If you notice the grass looks REALLY green. Its the Water. /QUOTE]

Plants need light, water, a growing medium, warmth, wind and nutrients. Remember Reagan was going to save the Ozone Layer and the World by growing trees and Golf Courses. Get off the Oxygen trip. They create too much O2 trip. lol

Rain is water. Plants use it and CO2 for Photosynthesis to grow..

Ive been here more than 6 months and love it. I just finshed my 5th grow. I got 4 sets of babies in the ovens. lol

YOURE NOT RAISING FISH. YOURE TRYING TO GET HIGH :bong:

Sodastream has a bubbler on Amazon for about 100 bucks.

Auto king, I believe is with or without nutrients. By the way, you meant O2, not CO2, right?

CO2 not O2.
Theyre plants not animals.
They respirate at night when they cant photosynthesize which requires CO2 in the air or on the roots.

Have you ever heard the concept of drowning plants? It means to over water them removing the supply of oxigen, basically (just like in humans). What it does, besides root rot, is eliminate the flux of oxigene into the ground and from there into the roots. When land is dry is less compact and air enters it more easily through cracks. It's also the basic principle in using perlite. Then there is also the phisiology of root growth: http://dspace.udel.edu:8080/dspace/...ter 5. Roots and Root Systems.pdf?sequence=10

Don't trust everything you read: Cross information with your own searchs and dig in to find out more about it.

They need CO2 above the ground for photosynthesis, and O2 on the roots to keep them roots healthy. That's where you confused it I think :D

I am going to try this mix. How many gallons will this mix make? Also if i need to add lime/coffee grounds to bring pH down how much do I add? Also do you mean a total of 6 cups of bone/blood meal, 3 of each?

Nice question JJ. I'd like to add to it:
We likes our coffee here, so we have lots of grounds. :coffe: But do you add used or fresh coffee grounds? I'd guess used, but it's just a guess...
:smokebuds:

Hey JJ,
I made basically a triple batch of FD's:bow: mix and it filled two 6 gallon and 2 five gallon pots very well.
I found the mix I made to run a ph of 7.0 - 7.2 after mixing and sitting for a week. I followed FD's recipe as close as local products would allow. It is my understanding that Lime will raise the ph of soil (please correct me if I am wrong). I am not sure on the coffee grounds....don't drink the stuff.
I used 3 teaspoons which = 1 tablespoon of this DSCF2272.jpg per gallon of soil mix which brought my ph down to a nice 6.4 - 6.5 ph after sitting a couple more days.

If you like you can check put my grow here: https://www.autoflower.org/f44/long-time-toker-first-time-grower-7797.html
