FD's Guide to Growing Hefty Autos in Small Places.

Ok guys i have been dragging my knuckles on this for too long. This thread will be dedicated to my actual grow technique. I will have everything in here from the way i germ seeds to the way i harvest and everything in between.

ill cover my soil mixes, teas, water adjustments, feeding schedules as well as the recipes for the soil and teas that i use. My goal is to teach how to grow the bud lumps you see in the small pots i use. I feel if you use this you may have the same success that i do when it comes to autos in small places.

Bare with me as i will update this on the regular, but will be locking it to get it all organized.

@ juan...you can put 16 plants in 1gal pots that are 4" wide 13.5" deep!...aka AF-SOG, (like what i'm currently doing, 4 per sf) or for some breathing room, you can put 6 in 1gal growbags.....guess someone else will chime in....

fd, you saved a few people from brain damage, when you mentioned noy to use lead in there water because it would poison the plants. it would also poison the brain of anyone who smoked or ingested the cannabis if it didnt kill the plants outright! thanks for all the knowledge that you impart to us new people on AFN.

Where can I find 1gal pots that are 4" wide 13.5" deep? Thanks for the information Buddy.

Hi FD

Very useful knowledge you provide in this post.
Have a couple of questions though.
Do I water my plants every 3-4 days throughout the whole grow( I will be using soil)?
How much water do I use per plant, and does this amount change Through the grow or does it stay constant?

Thanks ArticFox, and the water really comes down to how much the plant uses. At first its every 3 to 4o days and then every three days and then once i get to flower its usually every other day
you hae to just watch the soil. Use the one knuckle rule, if its dry down to the first knuckle then its time. Also look for signs of the fans drooping, if you wait too long they will tell you.

Thanks a lot man,
One more thing, how many liters of water should i give the plant each time i water them?

Enough to create a little runoff is what i usually do.

Wow. I have been growing autos going on 4 years non stop and have never heard such great techniques. Thank you soo much for sharing. I am about to harvest my 50 autos but i have 50 babies that are gonna be going in right after. I am definitly gonna be trying the tiering technique. It sounds like it's gonna save me time on transplanting and give me bigger plants. How could anyone not try it lol. Also had no idea about the aerated water. Definitly gonna go buy me a pump and airstones. Just a quick question FD.

Do I mix the nutes in then let it bubble for 24hrs before feeding? ALso my babies start out in 4" jiffy pots, I only transplant when they show sex, is that too late? Cause I do notice the roots are bounded at the bottom when i transplant. I'm in 1.7gal pots when transplanting. Also do you run c02?

Thanks for the advnced tips. This is a must read thread for everyone

Thanks PD i appreciate the kind words, and i usually let the water bubble 24hrs before i feed. Sometimes if they need it a hr should do you fine, im just OCD :D

transplanting at sex is exactly what i do to them, gives them time to continue on what they love to do in the flower stretch.
I never ran any c02 in my rooms it was the one thing i was lacking that i might try this go around

Thanks. I will pot an update to let everyone know how the tiering technique compares. How tight do you pack the soil?
