JeanO’s Day #89
These girls are smelling delicious and still seem to be thickening.
seems like it’s just a waiting game now on the closeups. I’ve got a handheld scope on the way that hopefully will improve my close up photo ability
I should own stock in Amazon by now lol.

Up until yesterday I’ve just been rolling right along but when I realized that this is probably day 58ish of flower I backed off on the Gold Leaf
Looking at the Autoflower schedule they have weeks 8-10 as FLUSH.

I want to wait on the new scope to get here Tuesday before deciding on a harvest day. I’ll be setting up that drying tent in my garage tomorrow too, I can finally move around in there again

I picked up 2 Inkbird WiFi controllers (1 humidity and 1 temperature) that I’ll be using to try and maintain that tent with, I’ll get them setup tomorrow and try and dial them in over the next few days.
Should be interesting figuring out how to program them lol. I have a hard time figuring out how to properly set my BN-Link controllers I’m hoping the phone app and WiFi capabilities of the Inkbird will make it easier on this Old Man lol.

Ended up Harvesting the Blueberry Cheesecake on Wednesday 4/13/22 Day #99.

Heres some shots the process that day

One of 4 plates full

In the drying rack

After a quick trim job, the bud weight ended up being 423g.
Environment was pretty steady for the last few days

Harvested the Whats My Name on Friday 4/15/22 Day #101. One of 4 plates also

All WMN bud in one shot.

BBC on top , WMN on bottom

WMN bud weight 454g
2 plants total = 877 grams
Started raining heavy overnight so I’ll be on my toes keeping the humidity down in the drying tent.
I should end up with a nice cured amount when it’s all said and done.
Will be making some friends and family very happy
This has been a very fun and fulfilling journey and I thank everyone who contributed knowledge and support throughout this grow !!
You will be seeing more Jeanosgenetics in my garden in the near future !!I suggest you give them a try also.

Drying update and a question lol
Been fighting humidity as I expected and RH has been a struggle keeping it at 60%.
Been floating between 56-62% and I think that may just be the way I have my inkbird controller parameters set up. Weathers getting warmer here finally and gonna be low to mid 80’s by the weekend. Temperature is rock solid at 60f, it’ll be interesting to see where it goes when it gets hot outside though.
Day 7 in the tent for the Blueberry Cheesecake, Day 5 for the Whats My Name.
Now to the question….. Can someone explain in detail sweating the bud before going into the Grove Bags ?
I saw it mentioned in the grove bag contest a few times and not exactly sure how that process goes.
2 paper bags, one on top of the other and then flip ?
They will be going into these bigger bags this time and heat sealed

You just have to dry the buds. I prefer brown bags. You have to wet trim and break everything down into golfball sized buds, line the bottom of the bag and let set for a few days. I shake the bag a couple times a day so the buds don't stick together. Once your hygrometer hits in the low to mid 60's, toss the bud into the Grove bag and monitor. You don't want it going into the 70's. If it does, put it back in the brown bags for another few hours.

This really helped a lot ! I was able to get it done pretty easily. On a side note I have lived here in this town for 18 years and didn’t know my local grocery store still offered paper bags Had to actually ask for them though.
The harvest was sweated and placed into the Grove Bags with one of those small Hygrometers. Final weight tally was
WMN 131g
BBC 123g
When last checked they were reading 61% and 62%. I’ll still be checking them often to keep track of what’s going on.
