New Grower Extremely low-budget grow | 40W | Delahaze |

Awesome dude like you thinking!!

I thought I would be remiss not to share some thoughts for your consideration, all has become clear now.

It's going to fun for you doing things this way and the knowledge you gain will stick in your mind so much more when it is fun.

Who am I kidding this will be fun for me and others too, I like to experiment with new growing methods as well.

Nice to know mini hygrometer is coming, it certainly will tell your humidity, I've recently ordered 5 for my curing jars.

You grow cab is really coming on, excellent work! :kusht:

nice man interesting to see if good ill buy some leds lol,

but yeah grab some cutts, so the nexttime u will not need the maturity stage to be reached first,

and as for fimming etc. top her at node 5, and fim her but id build a makeshift scrog with pea netting (cheap £0.50p a meter) and then train her below it during veg time and in flower let her grow thru it then she wil stay height resticted and u wil maximise her useage around the whole base , u could in theory fill the whole square with a scrog on the lwoer end and have a full tent with liek 50 long colas, to achieve this id have 20 hrs during veg to maximise her to grow around the room wih soem low stress training and she will love ya for it, having 4 leds means u can achieve a very even canopy too

as for added cheap trial and errors, if u want il dig it out but basicly small electrical pulses at root base can increase plant yeild was a massive thing on it on another forum using cheap £1 solar pannels lol

fun and harmless lol i gota go out but il post soem more shit soon but chek out scrog

Good stuff, thanks!

If you wouldn't mind digging around for the shock therapy... it sounds really interesting!

What we have here could be called many things. A good start is not one of those things.

I seem to have failed positioning the LED because I didn't want to cause any heat stress to the seedling. This is what happened...

Also, the adapters still haven't arrived. This means that I will either have to use the single 10W lamp for one more week or scrap the whole thing and start over when I have everything. I shouldn't have started before I had everything but what's done is done.

If I leave her like that she'll grow right into the lamp and possibly get damaged. If I move the light or bend the plant down she'll prolly just stretch back up again. Should I bump up the light schedule and bend her down?

Ugh! Tough call, Wiener. Don't scrap it, though! I wanna see you see this out to the end! It's more of an experiment, anyways, right? Adjust however you feel is necessary, then ride it out to the end!

I read somewhere that seedling stretching can be effectively dealt with by carefully replanting the seedling deeper. I think I'll try that tomorrow.

That's wzup! Way to stick wit it, bro!

Nice setup. Really makes me feel stupid for spending so much money.

Uh, that same thought crossed my mind.:face:

You can cut a piece of toilet paper role in half and place it on the seedling or add more soil if possible and it will grow more roots
