New Grower Extremely low-budget grow | 40W | Delahaze |

No. I had my LEDS placed 19" away, and mine didn't stretch enough. Some of the nodes were practically stacked on each other.

must be the type of light. that just looked like to much stretch especially with the light that close. usually a shade response caused by to much deep red and not enough intensity.had the same problem when testing warm white leds. sounds like those toplight panels work well. surprising for a cheap ebay grow light

You can cut a piece of toilet paper role in half and place it on the seedling or add more soil if possible and it will grow more roots

Might have to do with my being tired but I don't get the toilet paper part. What I intend to do is kind of like adding soil but without the need to occupy any more space with a larger container. Then I'll lower the light really close to the seedling and let the little dumbass decide if she wants to burn herself. Woops

that seems like a lot of stretch is that common with leds?

I wouldn't say it's a problem with LEDs in general. Rather the low output with which I'm trying to cope with. I believe stretching will occur with any CFL and HID as well if used incorrectly. LEDs are a great form of lighting.

I first learned about them (Top LED) on another grow sight I used to go to. A few of the top growers received free panels for testing. After they performed as well as they did, damn near every member was ordering them, and giving up great reviews. After all that, I couldn't help but go with Top LED

I was actually planning to use the Lucas formula. This as well as the 12/12 right from seed lighting schedule are both done to minimize the vegetative growth since I'm dealing with a notoriously high-yielding sativa strain.
Also, I was thinking about FIMing the plant at least once and attempt getting a little more horizontal growth that way. The light fixture might take up to 1/3 of the vertical space and with the container taking up as much as it does I can't risk the plant growing very tall.

The LED lights are just the kind that are brandless, cheap (about €2.50 each, the €40 listed in the opening post includes the cord and both adapters), super bright and potentially lethal. I received all 4 of them today and checked their functionality. They seem to have improved vastly since I purchased the one I have in the cabinet right now. Beam concentration is a lot better and brightness is way beyond that which used to be.

I'd love to hear any further ideas you have!
:tiphat:

I have 9 of them and a panel with 6 sockets ( I'm adding three more ) its going to to be mounted in my seedling/cone cabinet. even 6 of them pump out a lot of light. I plan to get some of those sockets on flexible stalks for the outside rows so that I can angle them however I want.

The seedling had tipped over during the night. That should teach her... :p

I thought I'd not screw with her any more so I just buried the majority of her stem in a mound of soil.

I'm hoping she will mostly straighten toward the light rather than grow. She'll have to cope by herself for 6 days. I feel bad for leaving her like this but I'm hopeful that she'll make it.

Im still amazed at this whole grow,
maaad props to you my friend!

Keep doing what you're doing and hopefully she'll be there waiting for you when you get back!

That long stretch is coming from having not enough Light. Shes searching for the Sun that will end in a Stretchy Plant.

ww, correct steps with the more soil around the stem, you could bend her at 90 degrees securing her soft fragile stem at the base so she doesnt come out. Mine are 3 weeks, over the last 4 days the stems have become really thick.

bend her let her stand up then bend her again before she gets thick. When bent, she will naturally face the light over the next couple of hours...
