New Grower Extremely low-budget grow | 40W | Delahaze |

Finally! :woohoo:

The final lights have been installed. I had to order a whole new cord with an E27 base in case the adapter wouldn't make it in time. I'm glad I did, even though it set me back another €10.

Back in the cab everything was great! We're at day 11 (ish) and the Delahaze is growing her first set of three-fingered leaves. She hasn't stretched or burnt herself either.

The photos in this comparison were both taken using the same settings. The focus is crappy in the second one, but that shouldn't matter. You can see in the first one how she had grown to "hug" the convex lens of the LED.

So yeah, things just got REEEAAALLLY bright

Here's the new lighting fixture in all its glory:

Glad you got things sorted man. I love the second picture, you should print it and frame it!

looking a lot better than mine with less than half the light. Good stuff~

I was not aware that autos could be cloned but unless I misunderstood what you said it sounds like clones can betaken from a mature plant without following the life cycle of the mother. is this correct?

Don't worry man, once you get your DWC dialed in I'm sure yours will grow out to be a monster.

No, unfortunately autos cannot be effectively cloned. The only reason cloning could be a valid option here is because the Delahaze is a photoperiod strain. However, since I'm doing 12/12 from the very start, it would be just as unproductive to take clones. :dunno:

All three of those pics are frame worthy!

O.K so I did misunderstand the post. I thought you were discussing autos. on my photos I take clones just before I put them into flowering. I do not have room for a mother and this practice give me 8 weeks of veg time which allows for some pretty aggressive training. I am playing with autos in my flowering room and at this point they are still a novelty to me. once I find as train that does well in my environment I may consider switching over or I may just continue growing both topping and pruning can be addictive and I can only do that with photos LMAO. unfortunately my state only allows 3 mature plants for MMJ PU growers so I need to focus on maximizing yield per plant.SOG is out of the question but autos look like they would be great for that.the politicians that write these MMJ laws know nothing about growing cannabis altho some may be experts on using it.HOHOHO

puting her on 20 hrs for veg time woudl stop the stretch ? itake it ya stl 12/12ing? in the 12 hrs dark she gona be stretchin for light i believe u wil manage it better using 20hrs then 12./12ing on week 3 or 4

u could get a bit of string and scrogg her into it to keep her low at pot height,
th

maximise her colas adn she flowers tho n ya see pistils stop training aso she can stretch thru the scrog

She's not stretching anymore. However, I now have a problem that I think is related to the lights being too close, so I moved them further away and because of that she just might stretch a little. I already made a new infirmary thread but I guess it can't hurt to add a photo of the problem here.

I've yet to decide whether or not I'm giving ScrOG a go. If it isn't too late to start next weekend I just might.

If you haven't done so already, a Cal/Mag supp may help, since LEDs are known to draw out more Cal/Mag from the plant.. Some strains are more sensitive than others, but something you may want to keep in mind!! Great to see it all up and running!!!! :)
