New Grower Extremely low-budget grow | 40W | Delahaze |

I have been wondering what type of power supply did you use to power the small PC fan that ventilating the growbox? I want to put an outlet fan at the top of my closet so that fresh air is drawn in through the holes i drilled at the bottom but not sure what type of power supply to use to power the PC fan i have.

Any 12v dc power supply will work mate. An old Nokia phone charger for example.

What I currently have powering the fan is a 9V DC adapter. I did find a 12V one later but the fan spins sufficiently as is. I believe the model I have starts up with as little as 6V. 12V is when you need the maximum rpm.

So what you wanna see is "Output: 12V DC" on the back of any charger, power supply etc. and it will do the job. The rest is not really relevant I think.

Cheers!

OK mate i'll give it a go thanks!

I knew I'd manage to stunt her growth sooner or later! It seems I watered her too early. Temperatures have begun to drop as well. Oh well! :dunno:

She's looking healthy, though, all things considered. I'm 95% certain that the necrosis spots are just light damage. I'm not sure if I should start LSTing her yet, but any kind of scrog or FIM would be way too early.

Looks like someone else wants to grow pretty desperately, too Woops

weinerwoods start the lst now bro don't wait, stem will be able to bend straight to 90, in a week you will have to do little by little. Trust me do it now and make it go across the pot as it grows. Get garden wire from a £/$ store and play some bondage, she will love it.

Kinky time! I tied her down (hopefully) like Zain suggested. Not exactly garden wire, but I believe for the time being twist ties will do the job.

She's also grown more in the last day or two than she has during the whole week. Temperatures are the same, soil is still moist... Maybe she just likes my presence? :smoke:

There's something wrong... Again

Another week has passed and this time the Delahaze is riddled with what looks to be a cal mag/pH problem.

I also spotted some insects that might be partially responsible for her lacking in the growth department. I think they're something called springtails. Pretty sure they're not thrips though. I could only find two of them hopping around, which suggests an underground infestation. However, I poked around the soil about a couple inches deep and found nothing. Here's one of the bastards. It's a really small creature. We're talking maybe 1.5 or 2 mm at most.

Can I mix neem, dishwasher detergent and nutrients into a single flush? That way I could try to take care of any potential insect, nutrient and pH problem.

Have you started feeding her anything for calmag issues? Not sure about that solution, you might wanna ask that question on the admin thread

The strange thing is, I already have calcium build-up sticking out from the holes in the bottom of the container. It's all pretty much from the tap water that comes from a well. A slurry test I did just now shows 6.5. Calcium uptake should be fine. Toxicity isn't the case here according to Google. Insects are gone... Maybe the spots are the result of spraying some pyrethrin on the plant last weekend? Or maybe magnesium?

I gave her a low-light lucas formula feeding of about 0.5 liters with a generous dose of epsom, got a fair amount of run-off. So far so good. Some of the drooping has gone away.
Oh and I did what I should've done long ago; removed the magnifying lenses from the lights. This way the light is distributed much more efficiently.

Also, Fuck! I missed.

I'll see where this goes and post on a help thread if need be. Cheers!
