Glad you shared the laugh, bro!

Good luck with the grow. It sounds super interesting. Even for a cheap kinda setup you have it figured out. I am going to hang around for this one

The Delahaze has got to be the fastest bean I've ever seen. Germination in less than 19 hours!
The seed has now been planted, cabinet is running and temperature is being monitored.

Light traps aren't ready yet, they're missing paint. Will update with pics when they're done.

Nice one but from expierience at a mates Try thoose 40 w led from ebay will not give u much. Way too less Lightoutput for stable or robust Growth. But subbed to see if you can proof it other way around cause every Grower is a individual so all things possible.

medic grower...im using 30w cfl per plant. so far its growing nicely. why would 40w led not be good enough? just for veg/flowering?

my plan is to get 2 23w 2700k spectrum bulbs to hang around so total wattage will be 106 w. 53 per plant

The grow cabinet is now ready. All that remains now is the final lighting setup. :dance2:

I got some matte black spray paint and installed the light traps.

For intake I made a really rough hole of about 5 x 6 cm. I put a screen on the outside of the intake hole mainly to keep out insects. It also helps block some light as well as make the hole a little easier on the eyes. The light trap is made of a sturdy cardboard gift box half with two holes, both about 3 x 3 cm.

The exhaust is kept in the dark by a plastic ice cream tray. I didn't have white paint so I just covered it with aluminum tape. There are three holes: 2 x 7 cm on both of the sides and 2 x 5 on one end. There's also a notch for the light cord on the other side. I didn't paint the fan itself because I didn't want to risk affecting its smoothness and noise level.

Both light traps are only held in place by tape. They're not going to go anywhere, though as they ended up surprisingly sturdy. The ice cream tray ended up a little lopsided but it shouldn't affect the functionality of the finished product.

Here's the whole cabinet in its finished (except for the lights, of course) state.

Also, I seem to have an earthworm in the pot. It's not going to hurt the seedling, is it?

nice setup...alot of work seems to have gone into it.
Take the earthworm out, if something is not going to contribute to the grow it does not need to ride along....

Very nice job. Can't wait until she starts growing!
