New Grower Extreme AK47 from AMS auto flowering

Please don't judge this is my very first grow. I ordered Extreme AK47 autos from AMS. I live in PA and was able to get them outside on 4\28\15. My plants are looking awesome and I "think " they are almost ready to harvest. My buds are looking great , but they are still producing buds on the lower levels of the plant. For the last two weeks I have been using Earth Juice Bloom when watering. The trichomes are clear, but the more mature buds hairs are turning red. 1st question do I need to flush my plants of the EJ Bloom sine itvis organic? 2nd am I able to harvest the more mature buds and leave the plant to grow and mature the younger buds? Finally here are some pictures I think the look good and maybe if someone can give me eta on when to harvest. Thank you

Hey there! Welcome to AFN! Do you by chance have a way to look closely at the trichomes? They are the best indicator when determining maturity, and depending on the effect desired can be harvested anywhere from all milky and no amber to 50 or 60 % amber. If they are mostly clear still then you have some fattening time left... if you wanted more of an up stone, take it down with a low percentage of amber and for a more couch lock type effect harvest when 20 to 40 percent are amber.

Hope this helps, any close up pics would also help figure it out.

Edit: Forgot to add that you definitely don't need to harvest the whole plant at once if you think the lower buds need more time...

Thank you just went out and bought a magnifier. Checking first thin in the AM.

Magnifier wasn't strong enough so I used on if my old SLR cameras lens and looked through it back wards.. That worked really well! The Tris were cloudy with some Amber so I harvested the buds that were close to the top of the plant's.. I left the bottom buds to mature more.. Any who here is what I got hanging up for now.

You dont need a magnifier bro! Most, and I do mean most autos dont go amber, unless you let them grow longer, but you certainly run the risk of thc degradation. Here is a great way to tell... and no, you needn't flush with organic nutes, but I would give them at least a week of plain, non ph'd water for a week, personally. It will help the plant mature up and help in the final product. I would also not give any water for the last 3-4 days and let the medium and plant dry out a bit. Doing that, will cut down on the drying time by at least a day. Yes, you can take the tops of the plant and leave the lowers to mature up, but I like to take the whole plant and have 2 piles for the dryer. 1 for the pm(mature) and daytime smoke(the less mature) and seperate them in the dry.
