EverythingsHazy's Breeding Thread

that discolouration is your silver , your c.s. , constantly wiping it is prolly why you reach the teens - 20 ppm and nothing more , your wasting the silver on whatever you use to wipe them with

if you screw up and dont wipe soon enough , dont worry , the sludge settles to the bottom , when filling your spray bottle just go slow as to not pour in the sludge , also , stop filtering every batch , its unnessesary ime

best of luck

Hye, For the batch I left over night without wiping the wires once I fell asleep, a bunch of silver "sand" looking bits collected on the bottom, and the water is cloudy, but not amber still. Hoever, it still only hit 20ppm lol. The same as the first batch that was stopped as soon as it reached 20. That batch is clear still and has a weaker Tyndall effect and less sparkles (smaller particles). I have a feeling that is the better one. Going to strain these both with unbleached filters in a few hours. Letting the cloudy one sit now so the bits can settle to the bottom. Just wanted to experiment with leaving it for very long (17 hours).

Left (clear/20ppm) Middle (cloudy/20ppm) Right (amber/17ppm)

Going to make it using the method used for the left jar from now on since after 20ppm it seems like a waste. 20ppm ismore than enough anyway. 15ppm amber cs worked to reverse the purple kush plant. If anything, I think lower ppm and more applications is probably better for the plant.

maybe at 20 ppm your adaptor thinks whatever it is powering/charging/ or whatever is done and it shuts itself down ?

after 17 hrs id be at least 40 ppm , and remember , i only use 6 volts 500mA

peace

p.s. not nagging you , just brainstorming/trouble shooting with you

I threw out the cloudy batch because even after being filtered it was still cloudy and had a strong Tyndall effect. The clear stuff is just as high ppm with smaller particles. I like that configuration best. Hits 20ppm and stays crystal clear like water even before filtering.

I may tinker around with my lower voltage/current power supply to see if it makes a difference. I was thinking about my current adapter turning itself off, but then I don't see why the water would've gotten cloudy or had silver residue on the bottom.

Either way, I'm making pure clear colloidal silver that remains clear over time, at 20ppm now, which is awesome.
It's breeding time. *puts on sunglasses

Just wondering were you got that box your using? What was it to begin with? Just curious that's all.
It is awful strange you can't get past 20 ppm. You don't need it to be, trust me. I may cut my current batch down a bit. So I don't have to be so careful with how much I spray.

It's just an adaptor an empty plastic box, and two little wire holders that are connected to the adapter with solder. So it can be modified.

The amber batch of 15-17ppm worked, so I'm pretty sure this will work just fine and possibly better lol. Not sure why it started to get cloudy after 20ppm I think it's because the buildup on the wires wasn't getting wiped by me anymore maybe. Every place I've seen says that 5-15 ppm is enough for people, and from experience, 15ppm is good for plants without burning them, so I'm happy with my clear 20ppm stuff. The Tyndall effect is mild but that is a sign of smaller particles which is good.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Tyndall Effect how you know its a colloid? I know the grey color is bad and you were correct to dump it but if it didn't have the tyndall effect it wouldn't be cs.. I just don't want people reading this to think that its a bad thing. I assume you just meant that it had more visible particles then the Clear solution.

well, yea the Tyndall effect is how you can tell the density of the silver, but can be caused by lots of different particles/particle sizes. So yea, I meant that it was a really strong beam because of the cloudiness instead of the tiny colloids. You definitely do want to see a solid beam through the liquid if you are making Colloidal Silver tho, however it should still be clear and free of large floating particles.

On a different topic, here is some food for thought.
It's some posts from a different forum I got in regards to selfing plants with their own pollen. Selfing being pollinating the same plant the pollen came from. NOT a clone. A lot of people here, probably most, say it is bad because it can cause hermies. I knew A few people over there had recently done it, so I figured why not ask. Can't hurt lol

All of the following are screenshots form a different forum. They do not reflect the views of AFN, it's staff, members, etc. Just thought it would be better than saying "this guy on another forum... and then another guy on the same forum said... and then a THIRD guy..."

please ehazy , avoid posting screen shot , posts , etc from other forums

posting published articles from experienced people with degrees on the subject is great , posting stuff from god knows where and god knows who isnt so great

info you post from somwhere else might be spot on , but it also might not be

AFN should not be responsible for what goes on or is said at other sites

no one wants AFN to get a bad name due to someone going around the internet saying "AFN said this" and then have it turn out to be bad advice

hope i made sense and hope you understand where im coming from

i wont delete or moderate your post , ill leave it up to the admins

peace
