EverythingsHazy's Breeding Thread

I sit mine in the shower then take a vial of pollen just pollen no flower parts at all and then get my paint brush and channel bob Ross and paint a happy little flower here and there and any white pistil then I flip the brush to send some pollen in the air then leave it for 3 or 4 hours then spray it with a misting bottle heavy dripping wet then sit a fan blowing in the shower for a bit to dry it off so I don't get a bunch of mold and sit it back in the tent rarely do I get stray seeds in other plants

I think just the thought of pollen scares more than a few people

In that pic is that a grain of pollen or a pollen cluster I thought each cluster in the yellow taco was a bunch of grains
cause that stuff is Uber fine when it falls crazy how much is in each little male flower

That might be a cluster come to think of it. Was wondering if the pollen was either inside those and it wasnt a pollen grain. or if it was one before drying out. I guess its the first.

Ill give you a small tip. (anyone can disagree this is how I do it and it works very well.)

Take the plant into a different room. Hit her hard with pollen. Leave her in the room for 2 days. Dont need any light or low power light.

After 2 or 2 1/2 half days wash the plant down with water. I like to use the shower but a spray bottle will work. Just takes lots longer.
Make sure and get the soil very well and the pot the plant is in.

Place back in tent with others.

You may end up with a few seeds in your other plants but nothing to worry about.

If your male/reversed male is not in a different area I would move right away.
I treat my males like shit and they always dump loads.

Thanks! Appreciate the tip. MOst of the hairs on the main cola that is forming, are shrunk at least, but they aren't brown or red or anything yet. Not sure if those pistils were just damaged by the pollinating fingers lol. Time will tell...

Good call.

You can make a HUGE cloud of dust from 1 male. Its nuts how much they put out.

Does anyone know what a successfully pollinated, forming seed looks like? This was taken from a dissected calyx that was pollinated (attempted anyway) a few weeks ago.

Pen tip for size reference.

Should seeds be expected from this plant?

If you are asking if that is a premature seed the answer is yes.

Yup, that's what I was asking. Was wondering if calyxes had those while growing, without being pollinated, when they would just swell up. But if that means pollination, than awesome, because THAT means that the pollen was good, and there should be several more seeds at least.. Will put more pollen on the newer pistils anyway to see if more can be made.

Another premature seed was found in a preflower with dried up pistils. The thing that is weird, is that they are so ridiculously tiny having been pollinated 4 weeks ago... *rubs chin

Found two hermies from two (unsprayed, straight frmo the breeder's pack) AKR-WoS Also, do you guys think the rest of the seeds from the same batch will also carry the low stress tolerance (hermie) trait (particularly concerning if it doesn't show itself until later on down the line), or if they don't show it, they don't have it? If so they should just be tossed instead of used for breeding. Not sure how breeders make/store their seeds, so if they are from the same pollination batch, then they probably do, but if they are allmany different batches mixed together, then they might now.

They are most likely all from the same batch. I have had herm issues with a few WoS strains also.

2nd. that on the hermie issues
