Decided to move my blog to a forum since i'm not getting much feedback. This is my first grow, and although i read tons and try to maintain the best conditions, it would be nice to get some feedback from peeps out here.
This is what im working with.
1 Diesel Ryder fem autoflower
1 power kush fem photoperiod
Both plants are 17 from the day they sprouted. From what ive read the DR should be ready to harvest 8-9 weeks and the PK takes 55-65 days to flower. I plan on veggin the PK until the DR is harvested, then switching to flower since i only have one grow space.
Equipment/Nutes
DWC - 3.5 gal buckets with 4" airstone on the bottom
Water - RO
PH/PPM Meter - Hanna combo meter
Nutes - Dutch master veg + flower with additive for flower. I also have Cal Mag and H2o2 but dont plan on using half strength cal mag because Dutch Master site says not to use it due to cal and mag alraedy being in thier stuff. I haven't used any H2o2 either as i hear it damages beneficial bacteria and is harsh on roots. I think ill only use it if i see root problems but so far roots are looking great.
Grow tent - 4x2.5x5 feet. I keep the door open and have 3 fans circulating air. Right now temps range between 75-85. I will invest in a cage fan but right now i just cant afford it. I close the doors when the lights go off.
Lights - 400 watt HSP 18/6 cycle right now. I had a conversion MH bulb but it burnt out before i even used it. Planning to run the HPS throughout the whole grow for both plants.
Right now only the PK is receiving Nutes and is on week 2 of the schedule. PH 5.8 PPM 505....I made the mistake of giving the DR 1/4 strength nutes last week thinking it would be ok since it was diluted so much. Bad decision because i caused a tiny bit of burn on the tips of the first set of leaves. I flushed it as soon as i noticed and am now just giving it RO water with a little Cal Mag.
This morning marks day 19 of the grow but the picks below are from day 17. I also topped the PK this morning. Not planning on topping the DR because i dont want to risk stress and cause lower a yield. Any comments, suggestions, questions would be awesome!
