New Grower Dutch passions cbd auto compassion lime

Interestingly one of the girls is showing signs of what I believe is N tox. Dark green leaf edges and a slight curl downwards on the leaf tip, clawing. I’ve literally only given them plain water and a 1/4 strength dose of rhizo, so I’m putting it down to the potting mix being a bit hot. I imagine they’ll be fine and adjust, just gonna have to hold off on the feeding for quite a while longer. Will carry on giving them rhizo every other feeding for now.

What you guys reckon?

Day 16

Things starting to get me excited! Not as if I wasn’t already enthralled :D
Girls looking real happy and showing off their sexy bits, thank you Dutch passion! Finding it quite amazing what a difference starting these ones on the cobs straight away is making compared to the cfls. Secondary growth is leagues ahead of what I had at this stage last grow. Bin the cfls basically!
They are both a bit dark in colour, no.2 showing slight signs of n tox, but no feeding as of yet apart from the rhizo. Potting mix probably going to be sufficient for another week or two.
Pots getting much lighter now, think roots have spread out and sucking up all that moisture from the pre soak.

Gave them 750mls each today of 1/4 strength rhizo, 1ml to 1 litre ph’d to 6.5. 750mls doesn’t seem to go very far in these 5 gal pots, so will carry on increasing the amounts as I go.

Felt they were happy enough to give em the snip snip! Topped above the 4th node :) gave them a little leaf tucking after taking some pics too. Rhizo supposedly helps with stress, not sure if that’s just below ground or above as well, but thought timing the topping with the feed of rhizo made sense.

Climate: 20.4c-27.1c, RH 36%-48%

She’s much shorter than no.2 still, with tighter nodal spacing and still a bit wonky, but besides that seems more than happy. Putting nice effort into secondary branching.

So dense you can barely see anything!

No.2
She’s the one that’s showed some signs of n tox, but it doesn’t seem to be progressing, will see how she takes to this watering. Nice spacing/stretch and good work on secondary branching going on.

I switched the pots around, thinking their positioning may have something to do with the height difference between the two of them. Probably has nothing to do with it, but may as well try!

Thanks guys!

Thanks guys!

Looking great man. Keep it up. The shorter node spacing now should help those secondary nodes to get up to height an give you a nice even canopy. Should be very nice. Might Ben time to add some base nutes. Just s touch though.

Thanks man, going much better so far than my first round, loving these cobs :D
Feeling very cautious about feeding, first grow I over did it and want to dial it down this time around. I’m a bit worried to feed anytime soon, as one of the girls is actually showing signs of n tox, very minimal but pretty dark green leaf edges and some slight clawing of the tips. I’ve been told this potting mix can be very hot and should see me through the first few weeks.
Appreciate you stopping by and having input, don’t take my hesitation as judgement on you, just feeling extra cautious at this stage!
Cheers man

Being cautious early is always best. They will respond I am sure. I will be watching! Looking forward to seeing that strain run.

Hey guys!
At the end of day 18 now, and looks like they’ve officially recovered from their beheading! Growth was slow the first day after but now work into the secondary branching has kicked into gear.
Climate stable at the usual with slightly higher RH due to the rain.
Going away for a few days tomorrow, so will give them a drink of water to see them through. Going to keep increasing the amounts, so will probably give them 800ml. Thinking I’ll drop the majority of the water to the outer edges of the pot to get them roots spreading out. Bigger roots bigger plant right?!
They got some leaf tucking today to expose those new growths, I’m already seeing some tertiary growth starting on the secondary branching, think I’m going to see a lot of heads!!
I did notice more leaf edge curling to what I assume was light stress, lifted the lights about 5-8cm and it’s fixed it. No more signs of light stress.
Think they’ll be ready for some bondage by the time I get back in 3 days, quite excited to leave them and see how they get on while I’m gone. Always fun to rush back in and check on the girls right away! Gets me all giddy!!
They are both still super healthy green lookin, to my eyes anyway, n tox has seemed to of faded, but still keen to prolong feeding. Seeing how they’re going now, I reckon another week + before I’ll need to feed. Should be right around the time they start their growth spurt.

She’s still much bushier than her sister, stout but a little further ahead in her secondary branching. She’s also a bit limper, leaves aren’t praying like the other, but putting that down to her pheno. Not sure if this is normal, but she actually has secondary branching sprouting from her cotyledons! Topped above the fourth node for 8 main branches but looks like I may get 10!! Can only assume it’s a sign of good health?! Can’t really get a photo as she’s so damn short and bushy, once she’s opened up a bit I’ll put up some pics of her freaky extra limbs. Leaf tucking was quite the challenge, could barely tell what was what due to her dense nature!

Alls well on her front, especially with the fading of the n tox she was displaying. Maybe she hit a pocket of super rich yummy foodiness in the soil mix that I didn’t break up properly. I have no idea basically, but she’s looking even better now. She’s got a lot more spacing which I think has allowed her secondary branching too push out. Her secondary branching is longer than no.1’s but not as advanced with regards to the amount of nodes. All looking very happy whatever the case.
