Dutch Passion Dutch Passion StarRyder grow by Seymour-buds

Always love the fat base stem Seymour  How's the Starryder you moved outdoors doing? Love the blueberry that's already showing bud sites mate :smokebuds:

looking special Seymour, quite a size too....it goes to show how much growth a plant can put on with relatively light feeds, you kept her 'ryding' the nutrient sweet spot all the way through that stretch - great work. I forget the name of one of the internet DWC enthusiasts who said you could grow massive plants from light feeds. Lets hope she slows down a bit now and begins to put on the some thick blooms. Lovely to see a plan this healthy

Hey there Seymour, i'm new to the forum (and growing), just wondering where you got your yum yum beans from?

Might I say that the Star Ryder is looking Stellar!!! And the yum yums are lookin great too. Mines coming down friday. I also notices a very rich coffee, blueberry muffin smell, really nice! Add some peppery haze and you have lemon poppy seed muffins!!!! Sweet growing so far, can't wait to see it through to the end!:D

id say the starRyder is looking interstellar and i think she is gonna have to be nailed in place in the coming weeks as she is starting to take the piss somewhat with her spread, dont get me wrong i have nothing against fat girls but they can be high matienece i just dont wanna see her snap in half like my polarlights did so i might have to get all bondage on her ass later on

the plant that went in the soil is also doing her pre-flower stretch but she looks awful probably due to the fact she is in soil and not getting much light im to embarassed to even post pics, im sure your aware im not a lover of soil although i do know that a lot of growers prefer the soil taste but id say its all in the flushing of the plant

the yum yums are from dutch passions

hey tony long time no see hope all is well at dp hq, now about those low ec's, its not really that difficult to grow any plant using low ec its all about ratios i could easily grow the starRyder on 1.2 ec for the rest of the grow an still produce a fine looking specimen but they key thing for me was finding her current sweet spot so obviously now we have found it the world is my oyster and the door of potenial oppertunities has opened :D

the low ec is all to do with the mix you make for each res change ill explain as this will apply to all hydro e.g

canna 40ml
rhizo 30ml
carbo-load 10ml
cal-mag 6ml
superior potash 4ml

gives me 1.2 ec or i could change my ratio and increase more p+k

canna 30ml
rhizo 30ml
carboload 10
cal-mag 6ml
superior potash 8ml

giving me an ec of 1.2

the point im trying to make is that the base nutrient wont contain enough p+k alone for the plant to thrive but it does have enough of the other elements like nitrogen and mag etc so if you increase the base nutrient everytime she asks for more feed you'll be pushing the ec's up or you could switch the ratio and keep her on the same level throughout the grow

1 of my favourite methods is the hesi pk formula which says to start them on 4ml then 6ml then 8ml etc etc untill you hit full dosage over the flowering period but all the time your lowering the base nutrients but keeping the same ec, obviously if you use that method you wanna time it right so she hits full dosage pk on the weight gain stage imho

1 guy i know loves to hit them hard with p+k for 1 week to the point of slight tip burn and then back off obvisouly this helps find the plants threshold and how much they can handle but its done in increments of a 12 day period

i know a lot of base nutrients have differnet n-p-k ratios which is why i choose canna as its quite a strong feed and doesnt need much in the way of additives and im sure others have their own recipies

every grower will have their own methods and ideas of whats what in the world of hydro but like i always say their is no right or wrong way its just about enjoying the experience , im still learning and i havent been growing that long but having the knowledge and being able to adapt can only be a good thing

appologises for the long winded approach but it may be useful to somebody out their lol :toke:

Yeah it is... To me... & I'm sure many others...

lookin good bro shes doing well

She is quite the specimen Seymour. Wasnt it the Tiaga that split? Looks like some string may be in your near future. She is a wide load for sure. They say the sky's the limit but looks like all four sides for you. Great work bro  to you as always.
