my air pump is a halie v60 super silent and the silica is dutch master and the cal/mag is advanced nutirents , its sounds like im advertising shit when i list everything im using but i have no affiliation with any nutrient companies but if any nutrient companies are reading this journal feel free to contact me :D lol

i never turn down free growing equipment, whenever i go to my local ponics outlet i never leave without bagging some freebies, last time i was in their i got some bombastic root stim haha

16 days is rapid, i dont think ive had a blueberry thats showed sex before day 21

even i make mistakes and ive been growing the same way for just over 2 years so dont worry about, im sure you have learned alot just by taking the plunge into the deep end , onwards and upwards pal

Things still progressing nicely I see mate! :D RE: Airpumps.... I have the hailea super silent 60 and I would say it is anything but silent :( To be honest it was the single biggest reason for me opting to go coco this time around rather than DWC again. I had it on shelf at top of my wardrobe above tent (was even noisier when placed on same level as buckets) and the vibration and humming from it was insane. I could actually feel the walls down in my kitchen vibrating from where it was shaking the wardrobe that was built into the room above :/ Perhaps my pump has some kind of fault but i couldnt stand the constant buzz and was horrified to feel the kitchen wall vibrate (my neighbours kitchen is on the other side lol). Could you describe how you have mounted yours and whether you have ever encountered any issues like these with it?

60 Ltr. SUPER SILENT low wattage (50 Watts) water proof air pump.superb quality at a great price. We use these unit ourselves for there outstanding performance and reliability.

Completely waterproof and manufactured to a very high standard. These pumps adopt an alloy outer case incorporating a double damping system and noise absorbing function making them high in performance and low in noise (Almost silent running )

they aren't mounted in any special way their just on the floor outside my grow room, like i said they are praticaly silent if they were that bad i wouldnt have paid top money and bought 2, obviously they aint as quite as coco lol but their is no way i would switch my growing method, dwc is my weapon of choice

they are rated at 40db and i did a google search to try and get a comparison as to what 40db is the equivalent of,

Hey Big_budda.. I have a hailea v60 sup/sil air pump as well... Different to SB's here though... Mine is blue with a black base... If yours is not the same as Boss Hogs up here then 'I'm assuming yours is the same as mine... I set mine on its own box & then put a folded over bubble wrap envelope beneath it coz it did make some noise... I'd say if mine was sitting backed up to a wall the vibrations would def get pretty loud... I have mine out in the detached garage so it doesn't annoy me, but I can hear it & the LEDs fans from outside the main tin fold up garage door... Let's hope it doesn't draw too much attention eh? ;)

Sorry for hijacking your thread SB... Just felt like throwing in my :2cents:

:smokebuds: :peace:

looking good dude, looking good! just started my LED adventure with the 189x and all your posts have helped me out, cheers.

I have a v60 also and it is totally silent, i also have it on a bit of 6inch foam but even on the floor its more or less silent.
