Dutch Passion Dutch Passion StarRyder grow by Seymour-buds

I love how her leaves are stretching up towards the light :booya: she looks like a super happy plant cant wait to see some buds on her :bong:

I think SB meant that this plant will yield 3 zips of "Scissor Hash" at this rate of growth.

I think you may find, that when a higher terrestrial plant, throws its leaves at the 45/65 degree angle, (The Mid Day stance) it is to "Reduce the photo Impact" ie if the light where over PAR, and to reduce dehydration. Have a look on utube at the "Time Laps" lowryder,.............it is amaizing how much the plant orientates the leaves during photo period these where on 18/6............and literally rocking about all over the place to.."Move to the best uptake "PAR Spot"................well interesting the Time laps shots.........in the mid day you see the plants "Up Angle" the fans............just like the SB shots...................

SB.............it is probs to early,................however, could you set out your "Cure Method" please. As the original TD thread has gone now.................so i cant ref to it etc..........1 day per 10% room RH + 4-5 days, ??................then lock down in zuger jar even if Plant RH above 80% ??......(Mould ??).................or check bud RH in jar,.............and lock down and burp at 75-70RH....................then lock down in jar for cure at 65% RH ??.....the target RH at lock down is 65% RH In jar etc True??.............then in chest freezer ??........................as per your massive chest freezer colection of SB BBBB's !!.........................bet the MaZ & TD is in there somewhere !!.........with a date on !!.........you must be made up come Christmas & Bank Hols SB............do you defrost in fridge first SB then let up-to air temp etc ??.....then re hydrate "Bovida Pack 65%"..............??..........
StarRyder looking great SB...........1m tall already !!............

uhm... why does sagarmatha have a star ryder on attitude? Star Ryder @ Attitude

:peace: BeaverG

ask tony. all we know is starRyder contains dutch passions "isis" not to sure what the joint dr did with the strain or wether the original "isis" was used or wether it was polarlights #1 rework

i have my own theories but its best to get it from the horses mouth so to speak, its nice to know what the background is on the different strains and the heritage of where they came from, i dont think dutch passion have released the final strain info yet so all may well be revealed

i use the same method as thai buddha man in this thread obviously credit goes to him for writing it out and putting the effort in, 2nd post down

drying method

the only thing i do different is instead of hanging the buds whole i cut them into smaller buds and space them out so the air can circulate better, i also use hygrometers aswell to tell me the humidity inside the drying area and once inside the jars, having the buds cut up into smaller sizes helps speed up the drying process

i suppose everybody has their own methods

cheers

Hey Seymour... Lil' question for ya dude...

Do you need pH your buckets when flushing? & if so, does pH not rise if your starting to starve them?... Ie: dropping their feed so they start to eat whats stored in their leaves... Ie: taking them out of their sweet spot?? Hence not enough food =pH rise?? You know what I mean?

Well that's what's happening in my tent right now.... I'm probably doing it wrong knowing me... Maybe they're trying to tell me that they're not ready for flushing yet?

1 seems ready for flush soon so I've dropped her res down to .5 EC & was just gonna top up with plain (pH'ed??) water until she is flushing, same with the other girl but she not as ripe & I've set her EC at .9 - 1.0 EC... Both buckets pH are rising quite quickly??

What am I doing wrong??

Cheers.

your not doing anything wrong, once you feel its time to harvest the plant you put them on plain water to flush out all the chemicals that you have used throughout the grow to make the buds burn smoother and also help dry the buds properly, if the buds contain just water its easier for the moisture to evapourate and not leave any chemicals behind obviosuly this is different if your using organic feeds

the whole point of flushing the plant is to make her use up all her reserve nutrients so it doesnt matter about the ph, the only time ph is important is when your plants are in full growing mode because the ph keeps them in a range that they are able to take up specific nutrient elements for example

in dwc the desired range for nutrient uptake is 5.5 - 6.2 and if add her to a res of plain water with a ph of 7.0 not only does the plant have no food but she will also be out of her nutrient uptake range so this forces her to draw from her reserves which is why the plants turn yellow during the flushing phase

the fact you have dropped the ec to .5 on the other plant and the ph is rising is because she is being under fed, i posted earlier on in this thread that if ph rises and ec drops then you need to increase her feed

when the harvest window is open you dont have to worry about the plants ph all you need to do is worry about flushing the chemicals out of her system, remeber if your using plain water and adding ph down to get the ph in her desired zone your not really flushing her because she will be taking up the phosphorus thats used in ph down

every plant will continue through its life cycle untill death but with cannabis you ony have a short period in which the harvest window is open so you have to determine wether of not its time to flush and bring her life to an end other wise she will just carry on growing and the window will close

you can tell when she is ready to harvest by breaking a leaf off at the stem where it connects to the main trunk and place the tip of the stem on your tongue, if the taste is bitter then she still has longer to go but if the tastes is neutral she is ready for the axe , i try and replace the res every couple of days as well when doing a flush cause she will start to excrete through her roots so its better to keep the water fresh

hope this helps

How did the vase style flush go you used last time?
