Dutch Passion Dutch Passion StarRyder grow by Seymour-buds

cheers for the comments, good spot on the polar-lights and taiga mixup

the other blueberry has shown sex today and they are both 26 days from seed, im really spoilt for choice on which 1 is gonna be the best, 26 days is almost 4 weeks veg so the potenial of the harvest on her has increased quite a bit, although saying that the starRyder is now standing at 1m 15cm tall which tells me she is slowing down to around 1" per day THANK FUK (she beast) so hopefully the next phase shall soon be upon us

ive added superior potash to her res aswell at a dosage of 4ml but kept the ec the same on 1.2, i have so many options on which direction to take this grow right now that im spoilt for choice, i need to consider her feeding strategy and try and get her to grow some hench flowers

my nutrients are gonna be

canna flores + rhizo + carbo-load + cal-mag but here is the options i have

do i....

run her on superior potash and increase the dosage every week untill i hit full doasge whilst maintaing the ec @ 1.2 (the only down side to this option is superior-potash in high dosages causes the buds to foxtail)

keep her on the the same dosage of nutes but keep increasing her ec as she requests it

keep her on base nutrient and hit her for 2 weeks with pk 13/14 when in the weight gain stage

put her on the hesi pk formula and keep increasing the pk boost untill were at full capacity

answers on a postcard please lol

im off to smoke a bob marley and think my options through :smoke:

Don't know why, but I'm likin the pk boost for the two weeks, Seems like the star ryder may a little sensitive, she is not the TD, but that doesn't mean she can't give out some great smoke!

i honestly don't know which option Seymour ! But as the Oracle said to Neo in the Matrix "You already know the answer".

I want to be like Neo by the way

lol

I cant wait to see a photo of her, I hope she fills the tent out nicely. If this blooms the way you get the others to, then you will have a really special plant.

you would be suprised at what low ec can achieve mate , i ran my automazar on 1.2 ec and she came in at 350g but im still debating in fact i probably should check back and see what i did with her in terms of flowering feed, im swaying towards the hesi pk formula, ive just been checking out your blueberry grow and it wasnt looking to bad at all so well done for that , i probably should read the whole grow log and get some tips that may aid me in getting maximum results from mine

Cheers SB. She's flushin now looks like autum in New England in there! still smells like muffuns!!! Whatever route you choose, I'm sure starryder, will rise to the challenge!

Hey Seymour... I'm lovin the bloom feed strategy/tutorial... This will help me immensely for grow no#2, I've just been winging it so far with my bloom nutes (the results speak for themselves ... :crying:)
No seriously I've done ok considering my skills, but this StarRyder journal has really been top notch stuff so far... Added to that.. StarRyder has even been a little nute sensitive.. So that was a bit of a curve ball to for you to deal with, a good example of how things can go tits up very quick in hydro, but more importantly a good example of how to competently dealt with it.

Top notch work Boss...

StarRyder herself looks like an awesome strain... I think we all love a bit of cannibis sativa... Otherwise known as the 'chronic'

Top top notch work from Dutch Passion as well... Tony knew what he was doing getting you to test grow this strain :toke:

It's all good...
:peace:

the starRyder has applied the breaks on her stretch and is now just at the stage of floral formation and has thc running down her leaves already so im stoked about that and if im being honest my arse was clenched earlier on in the grow when i had the dilemma of over feeding but boy did she bounce back with an impressive stance, fair play to the strain and fairplay to me for handling the situation like a pro lol

ive just opted out of being the test pilot for dutch passions up and coming new auto release which i know has been in the making for a while and i was hoping to get my hands on her 1st but its only fair that i spread the love around and let some other lucky person be the pilot for a change and then ill show you how to grow her properly :D

in all seriousness it can be a daunting task when working with a reputable seed producer like dutch passions as they have many followers world wide and are big in the canna community so you know you may end up having a few eyes on the sideline checking the progress but it will be nice for me to actually be a passanger for that ride and not the driver and i know the strain will have serious potenial to be a heavy weight imho in fact as im typing this i cant believe that ive turned the oppertunity down lol

ill get an update in here tomoz cause big tings a gwan

that's quite noble of you, but for us new comers you're the most reputable source for showing off a new strain!

quick question on ec/tds.. when you find the 'sweet spot' does it matter what ratio of base nutes and additives are used to make them up? if you were to use a solution with .8 ec of base nutrients and .4 of additives would the plant be as receptive as a solution with a base nutrient of .6 ec and additives of .6 ec? other than any deficiencies that may arise, of course.

thanks for keeping this up to date! hope you change your mind on the upcoming dp test grow, but i can absolutely understand the added pressures and headaches it could bring.

:peace:

mate that is a difficult question to answer and especialy as far as my typing skills go, if we were face to face i could explain it in 10mins but it would probably take me a whole day to write it all out

the biggest thing to grapple with is the stage of growth, i cant emphasize enough on STAGE OF GROWTH, once you understand the life cycle of the plant and the elements they use at each stage you can manipulate the fuk out of them, i think the biggest thing is to actually grasp and understand that concept,as soon as the penny drops on that the door will fly open to possibilities

when you buy a nutrient off the shelf its designed to grow so many different products and isnt specificaly tailored for cannabis growth which is where you as a grower can step in and change the ratios to suit you, even if you get something wrong you can always resort back to basics which is equal amounts of base mix

have a little experiment yourself and push the boundries open and see if you cant create your own winning recipe, you have 2 choices

keep it simple
nothing ventured nothing gained

deficencies will only arise for a couple of reasons.... ph is out of range or over feeding , enviroment is wrong, its obviosuly your aim as a grower to make sure they are all adequate for your plants to thrive

its no biggy on the dutch passions next auto release for me as ill obviously get the chance to grow her out but it would be nice to see somebody else in the hot seat, as far as pressure goes that also comes down to how confident you are as a grower in your own ability and setup, if you dont think you have balls of steel then dont put your name forward lol

i think tony is looking for suitable candidates so if you feel you can work some magic in your gardens then drop him a pm and put your name forward, no pressure haha
