Grow Mediums Duckster's 2nd DWC

To stop the sides of the tent sucking in you can buy a product called expando from ebay i saw tang using them in his new thread. Check the pics out on page 7 or 8.

For a 4x4 tent 5-6 inch is fine- if you go bigger youll need a speed controler.
Volume of tent x60 then add on 20% for carbon filter/ducting thats the cfm you need.

I think a 4 pot wilma or 4 autopots would both suit you great pretty similar.
But the wilma is better suited to clay pebbles and the autopots for coco.
Whatever you decide we have proven nute schedules for you!
Or as unique mentioned flood and drain- but you would need the tent in a room where you can drain away the solution easily.
Happy shopping duckster!

I found these on ebay uk and also the manufacturers site also uk. They were 24 pounds on the manufactures site and a bit more on ebay for a 2 pack. The manufacturer recommends 2 per side, so 75-100 pounds per tent seems a bit steep. A nifty little device though.

I have seem this formula before and thought this can't be right or I'm doing the math wrong. 4 x 4 x 8 = 128 128 x 60 = 7680 7680 x 1.2 = 9216 ??? That can't be right the fan would be huge.

Oh are you coming to the coco side autopots are so easy but you can't use just the clay pellets it wouldn't wick up properly coco or soil for them the problem with doing multiple auto's with the one res is a balancing trying to keep all the plants happy that's one of the reasons I switched to photoperiods all the cuttings take the same nutes no fecking about and with coco I'm not bothered about temps at all

Yeah still researching autopots and drip systems. The same feed for one and all is no problem. That's what I always do even when I was doing soil grows.

The drips ok but wasteful autopots are the easiest add your airdomes no bubbling the res either if your that desperate to stop loosing an inch or two with your tent sucking in get some 1x2 measured to your tent and tie wrap to your tent poles any wood would do as long as it's clean and fairly thin it doesn't bother me I couldn't be arsed I'm a lazy fooker like that [emoji23][emoji23]

It does sound huge but thats cubic feet per hour- most fans are rated at cubic meter per hour.
So 9216cfm=260m3/h
Rvk L1 5 inch fan is rated at 340m3/h

yeah my 6" is rated 440cfm...I guess that explain why I never need even go have way, since my fan over-sized for my tent... but thats fine... It's better run at lower speeds anyways and increase life of fan..and to know I have the little extra power if it's needed.

Well I'm defo in overkill territory mines rated to 535m3/hr, [emoji32][emoji23][emoji23]

yeah thats over-kill for sure... even at 440cfm I'm over-kill it seems if ya really went by that, I don't since I count for bends/angles that will restrict air-flow.. I think my 440cfm really matched up well for my tent size...

hey you guys using in'line fans w/ w/o metal fan blade's? Mine has the metal fan blades, it have it tucked up nice n tightly at very top(rear) of tent... hey you guys seen this grow yet I have in progress? This is going like insanely well, at 7 days since break ground...2 of them already starting on 3rd true set leaves & other two both on 2nd set true leaves, only 7day since broke ground I think that is amazing normally it takes 10 days to get to 1set true. I'm rather well dialed in I think :) :d5::thumbsup:
