Grow Mediums Duckster's 2nd DWC

I found some on anoter site that says they are in stock but they are double what gorilla charges for them.
yeah I told ya the 4x4 ones are very very hard to come by....pretty much any other size ya want ya can easily find...If I knew that before I bought 4x4 tent I would of gotten 5x5 instead.

okay ducks here is what I had done with the extra poles I had from another tent. Ignore cfl's only for heat!

Oh I see, looks like you had the corner pieces too. Worked pretty good. Check out some of one of your grows to get some views. Looks like you have done well with your setup. A bit of this :slap: cause I can.

thanks bro, yeah I do try hard to produce beautiful plants, I think I do rather good. which ya looked at, check my trainwreck grow out, them were two badass plants(both record breakers)! My critical was a beast though, that you might like also massive plant 5'6" tall 3.5' wide 325gms not too bad I was underpowered that grow, big time I couldnt reach all areas with the lights I had. Oh thanks again for the rep I really do appreciate it a lot...that's why I intend work my ass off here, so hopefully I can test some led's and everything else I can and make my area much better...

Ok the current plan is to finish this grow, get it dried and in the jars. Then I will do another DWC grow in the cab. I'm thinking a couple of Mephisto girls Triangle Kush and Skystomper. In the meantime I will continue my new grow space wish list. I have already made the basic decisions on the tent, filter and ventilation, so just a few details to iron out there. The big decision now is how do I want to grow? I have pots but not much soil so I would have to buy and mix more and soil but that sounds like work and I'm a lazy feck so .....no. I like my DWC but it only holds 2 plants and is a pain to do res changes with multiple plants in the same res. I suppose I could do 4-5 bubble buckets. But they would have no chiller or float switch for auto top off from a feed tank. I could do that but they would be expensive bucket. Besides even though the bucket change would be easier with only one plant, it would be 4-5 bucket changes. Did I mention that I'm a lazy feck AND a cheap feck. Have been looking at autopots. I think I found a couple of sources in the US. I guess you can use the clay pellets as media. I guess coco is an acceptable media too but I have never used it. But the autopots looks simple enough and a possible solution for a lazy feck such as myself. I have also been looking at @sanguine Wilma. This also looks like a promising solution although I have not found a source for them in the US. I did find something that appears to be similar that is available here. Will have to do a bit more research here.

thought about flood n drain? I think that is going to be my next. that is rather cheap setup, timer's ,pumps and the two plastic parts & couple hoses for flood table ya can use one of them cement mixing tubs ;) with your juice(nutrients) in another tub below that..will not need chiller that way ;) just a thought.

To stop the sides of the tent sucking in you can buy a product called expando from ebay i saw tang using them in his new thread. Check the pics out on page 7 or 8.

For a 4x4 tent 5-6 inch is fine- if you go bigger youll need a speed controler.
Volume of tent x60 then add on 20% for carbon filter/ducting thats the cfm you need.

I think a 4 pot wilma or 4 autopots would both suit you great pretty similar.
But the wilma is better suited to clay pebbles and the autopots for coco.
Whatever you decide we have proven nute schedules for you!
Or as unique mentioned flood and drain- but you would need the tent in a room where you can drain away the solution easily.
Happy shopping duckster!

Oh are you coming to the coco side autopots are so easy but you can't use just the clay pellets it wouldn't wick up properly coco or soil for them the problem with doing multiple auto's with the one res is a balancing trying to keep all the plants happy that's one of the reasons I switched to photoperiods all the cuttings take the same nutes no fecking about and with coco I'm not bothered about temps at all

I thought about an ebb and flow but didn't want to go that route.

yeah that's a bit different then flood n drain a lot different really...flood n drain simple basic design flood tray on top of your juice tote, let it flood 2-3 times day and back into res, but have 2nd pump to keep that res bubbling and oxygen in it.. It's okay if ya not into that, I just figured I'd give a suggestion.
