Grow Mediums Duckster's 2nd DWC

I kinda wish I got the 5x5 now instead of 4x4, I should taken into account my other items in tent,, like dehumidifier, humidifier, tower fan, etc...i'm not getting the full 16sq ft, if I went with 5x5 I'd have that.

Guess I'm lucky I don't need a humidifier or dehumidifier I've got a smallish 1700 watt oil heater in the corner and a wall mounted oscillating 16 inch fan attached to my tent pole above the radiator the rest is just room to grow [emoji106]

It does sound huge but thats cubic feet per hour- most fans are rated at cubic meter per hour.
So 9216cfm=260m3/h
Rvk L1 5 inch fan is rated at 340m3/h

Ok so the formula is for cfh not cfm. Most fans I see here are rated in cfm so figure 400-500cfm is plenty - overkill really enough to do 3-4 air exchanges per minute. Flip flopping between autopots and the Wilma. Even though the only Us Wilma source in the US that I could find is almost double the autopot cost, i'm leaning in the Wilma direction ATM. I had to go back and reread the first 10-20 pages of your Wilma thread to get a better idea of what's what. Did not realize the @Itisi had a Wilma too. Had to pop over and read the first 20-30 pages of his latest tome. I don't know if the experience left me any more enlightened but it's been a good read so far. Do you still aerate the res and check and adjust the ph daily.

Yea bud i still keep an airstone in the res not really sure why i even do it to be honest- loads of wilma users dont.
I check ph ppm daily and log it because im a nerd and i can see if there rising/falling how to change the feed.
But i rarely have to adjust- i just stick to the schedule and let it do its thing.
Any q's just fire away

Broke out the scope. My new computer does not have movie maker so had to resort to the software that came with the scope. It will do the video but nothing search one frame at a time or to get snaps so no pictures. Still seeing some clear trics and only a few amber so letting them go another week and then it's chop chop ready or not. No res change this week. Just topping off with fresh water and ph adjusting daily.

:crying::crying::crying:

Guess I'm a nerd too (actually anal retentive ocd) as I do the same. Oh there will be lots of q's when the time comes. But I will continue to flip flop until I actually buy something.

You said 11L pots. So are you using the 75 x 75 x 20 or the 90 x 90 x 20 version?

Mine is the 75x75 mate- it can take 11l or 18l pots and it has a 50l res tank.
The 90x90 can take 18l or 25l pots and has a 70l res

:worship: With the monsters you grow I figured that you were using one of the larger ones. I'm guessing that the distance between the pot centers is 15-18"

Hey duckster. Thanks for the like bomb.

The only difference between how I run my wilma is; 18l pots and I pretty much dump the timer once they get past the seedling stage. I run an air stone in the res but, I leave my pots in place unless there's a problem. My roots fill the drainage channels and grow into the res. I feel the roots in the channel are getting a nft effect and the roots in the res a little dwc. I also run aguafarms, the wilma is much easier to work with.
