Grow Mediums Duckster's 2nd DWC

More of a like bomb coming. It will take awhile to get through that massive thread lol. Curious as to why you leave the plants in place. Seems like it would be much easier to care for the girls if you can take the out. That is one of the things about my 2 plant DWC res crammed into my cab - I have no access to the back and sides of the plants. :pass:

Laziness and loft conditions. A plant of any reasonable size suffers too much damage just trying to move them around. The roof in my house has a ludicrous amount of beams and joists. The frames on my tents have the odd bend to fit in. I've had grows where I've only seen pictures of the plants at the back!

Have to agree once they get a certain size moving them is very tricky when I first started I used a smaller Wilma roots right into the res start moving them you could feck up the roots not sure on the bigger wilmas but you only get access through a red round lid at the front

I just lift them out if i need to take pics. The roots do get pulled around and the pots weight is on them. It doesnt seem to bother the plants. The main bulk of root ball is inside the pot.
I just guide the main part that hangs out into the chanel when putting in again.
Heres an auto ultimate at day 12.

Seems like I could use those same sheets that are used in the bottom of your autopots to keep the roots in the pot

I had no idea that much of your roots came out the bottom of the pots.

Seattle to Florida - that's a long ways with some major differences in weather and culture. Bet that took a bit of getting used to. That was a big change. What brought that on, retirement?????
Yeah 10 miles is pretty close. The western side is usually the weak side but it doesn't matter much when you're only out 10 miles. Your severity depends on how far north you are on the track. She was a cat 3 in Naples. Dropped to a cat 2 just north of Ft. Myers. Down to a cat 1 near Lakeland and down to a TS near the FL/GA border.

Good that you were able to salvage something for your efforts and you're getting back in the saddle pretty quick. What are you germing? Are you going to start a journal? If so, tag me in so I can find it. Dude you need an avatar.
Moving to Florida was the result of my wife's dream to work for Disney. So on July fourth 2014 we left Seattle for Florida. The only thing that was waiting for us here was a job interview for my wife with Disney. Fortunately for us she got the job that she wanted. But because we moved down here with no friends or family at all in Florida. So it was decided that I become the stay-at-home parent. And after over 40 years in the workforce, I said sure why not. You have to know that I am a 58 year old father of three children 9, 5, 2 yrs. I also have a 29 year old from my first marriage. And after about a year I managed to figure out this full-time parenting thing, and soon realized I needed a hobby. Which brings us to the present.

So I have one ebb and flow hydro system set up with one each Sour Hound and Amnesia Haze that I will be scrogging. I also have another cabinet from my very first grow that I am going to use for a Power Africa Fast. I am going to start a journal and I will be sure to tag you. Hope you like my avatar![emoji106]
