Get busy choppa choppa

There was a documentary on tv over here recently that basically said a lot of the U.S. weed dispensaries are struggling to sell stuff at the mo cos there’s so many of them now. They showed whole crops of prime quality weed being burned or binned cos they can’t shift it due to massive over supply.

......According to that tv show.

Dunno how true it is.

Not sure how true the story was but in my state that med legal. Next to a state that’s rec legal the cultivators that sell to the dispensary can’t have more than a certain amounts on hand over a certain period of time. Basically they have to know ahead of time exactly what the need is going to be. A lot of cultivators have been ramping up grows anticipating a need that does not seem to be appearing. It cost a ton of money in licensing and approval fees as well as operating costs and the cultivators are left to destroy what can’t be purchased by the dispensary. Some big ops have both ends of the supply chain so are really setting the smaller cultivators up to fail.

I don’t want to see the big boys come in nationally and destroy the market, but I’m almost wishing for it because all these mid level players that are taking advantage of the market are so high in there horse they need to be knocked off.

My state has been medical since 2006. Now that recreational is being proposed the cultivators and dispensary want to ban home growing entirely and the State seems to be on board with the idea. Sons of bitches need to have it ripped right out from under them like they wanna do with us.

The state thinks banning home grow medical will somehow break the black market. Every other day whole house unlicensed grows are being taken down. But somehow 6 medical plants must be supplying the black market and needs to be made illegal. Yeah, I’m going to get licensed and pay for plant tags and tell you I’m growing at home just to risk selling dime bags on street corners. Hypocrisy of government makes me made.

That’s fookin ridiculous! Big business removing the whole point of legalisation for the sake of corporate profits.

I’d like to think in the real world, for the sake of fairness they wouldn’t be able to get away with that. The reality tho, with Mr Trumpy-trousers in charge.. big business is king, everyone else just has to do what he and all the other greedy bastards say.

I’m glad it’s still illegal to grow weed in the UK, government cuts have massively reduced police numbers so unless you’re moving kilos they don’t have the time or people to do anything about it.

Long may it continue! [emoji23][emoji1360]

Our government will have to do something eventually, they had no choice but to concede the medical use, what with both the husbands of the pm and her drug minister being involved with the sale and production of it. You can grow your own tobacco and brew booze. If it gets recreational status, the tax rate would be hideous. The black market would flourish.

Amen to that, brudder! [emoji41]

Illegal is better, it causes a abundance of caution and for the most part everyone tries to not be an idiot. As soon as it goes recreational you have wankers and housewives eating enough edibles in public to take down a horse. People here have regularly been overdosing on edibles and being rushed to the hospital.

Who the hell overdoses on weed. We have medical and we have decriminalized possession of less than an Oz for everyone else. Get caught with an Oz and is an $85 misdemeanor ticket. I see upper middle class idiots driving down the highway openly smoking a blunt. Add to that half the products available st the dispensary look like candy for kids. All this stupidity is just forcing it towards government controlled highly taxed low potency crap weed.

Add to that we have a federal law banning use or sale that’s enforced by federal agencies. And then we have 50 States with 50 different laws and tons of individual rules for use. Some states where it is legally recreationaly if you step over the line into the next state a joint will get you jail time. Crazy time here in the US.

Love watching the show unfold.

Sorry for the sidetrack, back to the awesome grow.
