Think I might of figured out the problem. So my buddy who has the same lights told me to have both light switches on. One is for "Veg and Bloom"... The other is "Stronger" which activates the cob lights and is supposed to be turned on during flowering(according to the manufacturer). My buddy told me it didnt really matter and the plants could take the extra lighting during the seedling/veg stage.....
Now at first I did notice that the plants were developing much faster... I had the lights about 30 inches away from the pots....But what I'm thinking now is, perhaps my buddy gave me some bad information lol. So now I switched the stronger button off, and dropped the lights to 26 inches away. And I'll see how the plants react. I noticed almost an 8 degree difference after a hour, and now the tent is sitting at 76*f while lights are on
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with how I had the lights running before.... but the plants kinda have a whitish green look to them.... if that makes any sense. Before they had a much darker green look.... Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks again for taking your time to help me out.
Ok turning the lights down now will help lower the temperature and that is good. Hopefully your environment will be cooler when it is time to turn them back on. LEDs are misunderstood - they are not cooler watt for watt with any other type of light. If you put a 600w MH or HPS or LED in an enclosed space after enough time the temperature will be the same in all 3 spaces because all of the energy is eventually dissipated as heat. LEDs are more efficient than other lights. They make more photons in the PAR range per watt than the others. Eventually all of the photons of light will be absorbed by any contact material as heat and that is why the rooms will all be the same temperature. With LEDs you can use fewer watts to get the same PPFD as other lights. So a 450w LED = 600w HPS. Now this is where all of the confusion comes in; you can run a light with fewer watts of energy, get the same amount of light and now your tent is cooler but not because LEDs are cooler. You put less watts of energy in that space.
When you take pictures to show the Whitish Green spots to us use a 5000k bulb not your grow lights. It make diagnosis easier and more accurate.
Just a guess at your description it is Variegation and not a worry.
