Harvest & Curing Drying in a brown bag

We dont really have paper bags around my parts... sounds nuts but its still plastic bags all over :face:
I guess the same could be achieved by carefully wrapping buds with newspaper? About two layers thick?

What you reckon?

No sir.... The ink... Nasty :face:

Usually takes me 5 days to dry in paper bags. I start checking on day 3. Just remember, break down the buds (no monster colas).
:smokebuds:
So do you break down all of your large colas? Or do you have a different drying method for colas?

I wondered this too but just ended up breaking up all my colas into golf ball sized nugs :toke:

You dont have to break them down if you dont want to... Breaking them down speeds up the drying thats all.... Big cola can take double the time....
In an ideal world this would be aslow process... Longer it takes better the cure.... Heck ive seen a grower put there Whole plant in big ass brown bag all he did was pick off the big fans... He smoked it from the bag.... lol.

I also use the brown paper bag method and have great results!

I did pick up a tip to place the bags in a cardboard box, that will be next time!

One word of caution though...
Not all brown paper bags are created equal!
Some are very thin and the buds dry out too quickly in them.
I find the thicker bags work best for me.
I know the LCBO bags in Canada are perfect for drying buds!!!

:peace:
Long live the flavor!!!

What about Whole Foods??? If anyone is familiar or Trader Joes....

JIC I meant bags for drying/curing

As long as they are made of Brown paper and are unwaxed they will be fine.... I like the thick ones as well.. :smokebuds:

Hi all, ive just noticed this thread and have just taken down my buds after 4 days hanging, Ive put them all into glass jars with one of those little RH meter thingys, all saying between 46 - 56% , they havnt changed rh over a couple of days but they got stickier and harsher to smoke.
This i couldnt understand until now
I did remember i put a few buds into a brown bag from this crop, literally just after hangin for 3 days (i was a bit desperate for a smoke lol) and the next day it was lovely to smoke, full of flavour etc....
I just thought this was a fluke due to strain. so jarred all the rest
Ive just smoked another hit from the jarred weed and it doesnt taste as nice s the first bagged lot. Its more bitter and harsh
Soooo,lol, sorry about this....

Im totally convinced that i should of bagged all of my crop from the chop lol but it might not be too late for me as there is still moisture in the buds

Finally,,,,,my question is, would brown baggin the jarred lot now for a day or so improve it? and when it is improved (smoke test) is it time then to go into the glass jar? or are glads jars just a long method of keeping your weed from over drying out over time.

Phew....

Sorry again but this thread has really got me thinking......
Thanks all in advance

Nah mate if you put it back in abag now it will just be drier thats all.... Call that one lesson learned... lol... :smokebuds:
