Damn…that is ridiculous.

$2170 for a BGE that is ready to rock. I tallied up everything. With my $40 card, I spent $1082….it would normally be $1122…for all this

How were those smash burgers Bushy? That chicken meal looks small for you pal, haha…you’re always cooking up a feast. That’s a sick score for a Buck a pound iffin it’s good. I woulda snagged a twenty’s worth for sure…if not a hundo.
Smash burgers were awesome and the burger we got doesn’t melt away like other cheap burger as it eats more like a steak. That was around 10lbs of chicken just enough to get by.

Sautéed onions on the griddle then just the frozen burger patty’s this time as it’s quicker when nobody plans out a meal. Toasted buns in the leftover grease as you can’t waste the flavor. White cheddar Mac and seasoned fries to finish.

Since I had to go see my Dr stopped at Walmart on way home and they had sweet corn 5/$1 took the chance. Roasted up on the grill while wife made up sloppy joes and coleslaw for dinner. This was some of the best corn we’ve had so far this year. They might pick some more up today but never know if the next batch will taste the same.

How is your BGE coming along Bobby? Can’t wait to see her. I just watched a video today about how BGEs are made. The master molds are made by hand…every little dimple is cut out with a little tool. That’s a seriously skilled tradesmen right there.

Big Green Egg is almost 50 years old…they started in 1974. Before them, the west didn’t have any Kamado style cookers except for the few that were the spoils of war.

I’m sure some very old cookers were jacked. Those guys have been passing em through the generations forever. Some of em are hundreds of years old. I bet a few families got shafted out of their heirlooms.

I am waiting on two emails right now. I got the rings in the mail last night and the spring removal tool wasn’t in the box. The springs are kinda scary, anyone have any suggestions? I am also waiting on an email about that pool table. I really want it….cross your fingers for me.

Franklin!!! How is the Primate?!? Can’t wait to see some pics buddy.

Pics coming shortly. They made it rain at my house, when they delivered mine….just like they did at your place:haha: neat how they do that…. Anyway, I put it together in my living room, so I’ll get it moved outside in a few once I sweep. I ordered an adjustable foot set, to replace the casters and give me some adjustments to make up for the uneven patio. One of the feet was messed up….so I emailed them to let them know. Got a response almost immediately (after hours) and they sent a new foot out this morning. Good customer service:thumbsup:

Alrighty…..grills in place and I went ahead and heated her up on full high to burn off any residual oil from manufacturing. This thing is powerful! She heated to 900f on the built in thermometer that I’m taking with a grain of salt. Anyway, it was hot enough to make the grates red hot….I tried to get a pic but it wouldn’t show the red in the sun. I’m going to let her cool down all the way and switch her over to the griddle and season that….and then, back to the grates…. And steak
