I got enough work and more shit that never gets done and therefore about 25 years ago I bought one of these. I can get a knife way sharp short or no bolster. I do have a selection of stones, diamond pads, Steels and a Tormek at work. But in 1 minute or less, I have a sharp knife.

I likey. Do you work in a restaurant? There is zero requirement to learn the stones with a freakin grinder for the kitchen. I bet that does a great job, but does it get the blades so sharp that you can cut .1mm tomato slices sideways without even holding the momato? Like Joshua Weismann video that Franklin shared yesterday. That is scary sharp.

And a side note, FUCK XPO LOGISTICS. They waited like almost 2 weeks to pick the grill up. They then were supposed to bring it yesterday, which they sprang upon me that I need an appointment. If I wasn’t on top of it, I wouldn’t have even known. I made the appointment for today between 1:00 and 5:00pm. I raced home to get here by 1:00 only to find the pallet sitting outside in the rain. Been saying about how I need someone here to sign for it with an ID. Total bullshit. Not only did nobody sign, they came early and left it in the rain out on the driveway. It BETTER be perfect. Fucking amateurs. I mean, I know it’s a grill…and one made of clay, aluminum and stainless…BUT, THEY DON’T KNOW THAT!!!! How absurdly rude. As someone who has made their livelihood driving an 18 wheeler, this is not how you run a trucking company. Shame on you XPO, it’s like amateur hour with these clowns.

Based upon your experience, I’ve decided to increase my cannabis intake by two fold starting now, until at least 24 hours after my new grill is delivered….to help deal with the increased stress this will cause.:smokeit:

I didn’t have to cook this time. My BnLaw wanted ribs so he picked up some baby backs. These were cooked for 6hrs being spritzed constantly with apple juice, apple cider vinegar, and some whiskey not sure which one as there are to many bottles on the counter. He then did bbq smoked soy beans with beef brisket burnt ends, steamed broccoli w/cheese sauce and air fryer French fries he fresh sliced blanched seasoned prior.

Heated up the Blackstone 36” griddle started off with thin sliced beef roast marinated in mix of Asian sauces, took off set aside while the marade of sliced cabbages, bok choy, napa, onions, bean sprouts, broccoli, zucchini were tossed about till almost done. Then meat was incorporated back in with udon/ramen noodles and extra sauce flipped about ready to serve.

I am in woodworking, sharpen a lot of chisels, carving tools me The sharpener will get the knife damn sharp. I test in season on tomatoes. Misen shows the guy cutting a grape sitting on the table that thin. The problem is the really tight edges take more to maintain.
The cartage company brought my pellet grill in about 5 days and I had to schedule a appointment, but the driver was not expecting me and would have left it as well.
