Dutch Passion DP's Auto Ultimate & Auto White Widow

Ha ha it really does now that you say it. Thanks for the comment man.

Week 2, Day 13

I am beginning to think that this Auto Ultimate might be some what of runt, this could be a good sign but probably more than likely a bad sign.
Last night was a bit hot and temps reached 87 f when inside the tent and now because of that I have started to notice some leaf curling on both plants.
It is a heat stress sign for sure and all i have been able to do is freeze a few 2 litre milk cartons filled with water and sit them in a basin in front of the intake cooling fan.
To be honest this method hasnt given me much success but it did manage to drop the temps by a degree to two, which unfortunately isnt good enough as its still a little to hot for my liking.

Give her some time Grim, My Auto Ultimate, took over a week to put roots into her bucket, but after that, WOW, she took off, she did not just put one or two roots, she put over tem at the same time, the she exploded. i was ready to pull her, and you have seen what she went and did!!! Give her some time, she'll reward you, looking good man!!

Cheers Insert i really appreciate the kind words dude, il just be as patient as i can.

Rather than worrying about dropping the temps, have you considered supplementing co2?

Yeah man i have thought about it, but because i depend on outside air coming in to cool my room i wouldnt make use of it efficiently. In fact i would just be letting it escape out my window and unfortunately i cant close that window or im screwed. I would say my best bet will be to buy Led's for next summer or an air con. Considering a shitty air con over here is probably about as expensive as a top quality Led and draws way more power il most likely buy the Led.

Trust me bro, by next year LED's are going to be on the market that are producing way, way more light for an awful lot less power use than today, so way less heat too.

I've got two "last year" panels and 2 led spots in the tent, it's 23c outside and I'm struggling to keep my tent at 23c or the reservoir above 18c, just ordered a bloody tank heater and greenhouse heater in the middle of summer for night times ffs! I can't even turn the 4" extractor down any lower or it turns itself off lol.

Funny I find myself complaining about the exact opposite of HPS growers whose grow logs and advice I based my tent setup on last year, really glad I didn't buy an aircon or I'd be better of setting up a Mr Frosty Ice Cream stand in the tent!

Yeah Bilbo i totally agree with you there, for the weather i have over here it looks like il keep my Hps for winters as a Led simply wont be hot enough not even two i would say, and then Led for summer. In theory this will be the cheapest way for me to control the temperature in my tent.

hey grim, I hope you work your way thru the hot temps in your grow room. AutoUltimate has been on my list of 'most impressive' new varieties so I hope she does the job for you. PM me if she doesn't and good luck with it all

I hate paying electric so a couple of big cfls keep the tent warm in winter with leds :)
