Hey steely!! Looking right on, sometimes the ABB can show those spots when you get high on the EC too, I have had that happen to me on the ABB and the BAM, I backed off a bit on the BAM and the spots went away and I nver used Cal/Mg on that grow I had a TD and a BAM under a HydroGrowLED, just something to consider... REP

Cheers for coments all and cheers for the rep insert, i'm fully autoflower now :)

I ordered some Plant Magic MagneCal for the deficiencies so hopefully that will sort it out.

Thanks,

steely

And cheers for the like-bomb too insert :)

FYI: GH CaliMagic is the only cal/mag that's JUST cal/mag. I think sometime people over look that a get into problems if they are already running high ppms/ec

Thanks pop. Mine just arrived, the ingredients are :

Nitrogen 2.55%
Phosphorous Pentoxide 0.05%
Potassium Oxide 0.33%
Calcium Oxide 4.96%
Magnesium Oxide 2.58%
Iron 0.0424%
Molybdenum 0.0011% (must google how to pronounce that one!)
Zinc 0.0073%

The blurb says :

"MagneCal + is a Magnesium Calcium additive to be used throught the whole plant lifecycle of growth and flowering. A food source for your crop is also added to help with greening up of leaves."

"Perfect for crops suffering with Mag or Cal deficiencies but is also excellent at enhancing the uptake of potassium and is ideally used alongside any heavy feeding plants as well as those using PK additives."

They recommend 0.5 - 1.0ml per Litre, should i start at 0.5ml to be safe i suppose ?

Can't believe the warnings compared to organics :

"Caution: Do not inhale or swallow. Wear protective eye goggles and suitable gloves when handling and using this product. Keep away from children."

'keep away from children', that's good advice, they are a bit annoying ;+}

Cheers,

steely.

I have no experience with cal/mag ( as yet ), but it never hurts to err on the side of caution!

Day 21 Northern Lights Big Bud cross. Day 35 AutoBlueberries.

I think the dolomite lime may have done the trick, i cut off the worst-hit couple of leaves last week and the remaining affected leaves haven't got any worse and it doesn't seem to have spread.

The ABBs got their first taste of bloom today, probably a few days too early but the MagneCal has some N in there so it's not a problem. They are on 3ml/L of bloom and 0.5ml/L of MagneCal.

The ABB canopy is 25cm from the light and no bleaching so i will push the height and see what the minimum is. Prakasa recommend 30cm but i don't agree since they also recommend that for their 300W light and mine is only 120W. Time will tell ...

Day 28 Northern Lights BigBud cross. Day 42 Autoblueberries ...

Hello my fellow gardeners !

I'm very happy with the girls, this could be one of the healthiest grows i've had. Normally my plants leaves are a little bit papery and without much shine, these girls are lots more lush and shiny looking so i'm happy with that. I'm wondering if it's the dolomite lime in the soil ?

So i'm taking a bit of a risk with the NLxBB, i want to know if it's the dolomite lime in the soil, improving slowly, that is stopping the usual calmag def, or is it the chemical calmag i bought. So NLxBB will be getting no calmag, then i'll know that, if she gets no deficiency, it's the dolomite lime that is doing the good work. I'd prefer that as an outcome then i wouldn't have to use this non-organic calmag.
