Terple,
High y'all!

So I have 2- 3 ft by 3 ft by 6 ft tents and 1- 3 ft by 4 ft by 6 ft 2 in 1 tent. My plan this to have one of the sections in the 2 in 1 tent that's 1 ft by 3 ft by 3ft strictly used for producing pollen. 3 different strains at a time. Then collect this pollen and use it to pollinate 4 plants in one of my 3ft by 3ft tents. For example, if I make Moby Dick pollen and Amnesia pollen... I then grow an amnesia and Moby Dick plant and pollinate it with the pollen produced from the pollination station. The idea is instead of doing a mass pollination of one strain I would be able to get four different strains of seeds at one time. Does this make sense to anyone? Thanks

Happy growing!

Hey there... I'd suggest using one of your separate tents to grow male plants... as you can grow them away from any females in flower. A pollen sac if given the slightest knock can drop a heap of pollen and once airborne could easily pollinate your plants in the same tent without you knowing it can also be transferred on clothes or thru venting!.. at least if your males are confined you can kèep an eye on them and cleanse afterwards... and your 2 part tent can be used for vegging seedlings or clones or mothers as well as flowering plants etc... hope this gives you something to think about... but that's how I'd set up few!!.. easy now...

A male grown and flowered out fully in a tent will more than likely pollenate any plants growing in the home without you trying, heck, could pollenate plants growing next door too, just from light air movement... pollen goes everywhere. For all practices, it is invisible and weightless. Trying to do multiple projects at once WILL cross pollenate all. If you've never done it before, do one strain and see how it goes. Just having 1 male around can be a handful. And has the potential to make quite a mess.

Hi thanks for the responses from both of you. I'm actually not using a male I'm using a reversed female. But I'm guessing it it will still have the same effect. My plan was to isolate the reversed plants by harvesting their Pollen so it doesn't go everywhere. I guess what you're saying is either make seeds or produce bud but you can't do both in the same grow room? That kind of messes up my whole setup and I've already invested in it all... Is there really no way that this can be done?

It can be done, but I can't see doing more than 1 at a time unless you had a dedicated space for each. I have just a 4x4 indoor and a little space in another room. Male is kept in the tent till sexing. Then that plant is moved to the other side of the house in it's own place. Once things get close, I'll clip a branch and like you would a flower, place in a cup of water over some parchment paper. I cover with a large dome. Most...of the pollen goes on the paper... I still get 1 or 2 seeds in my tent, and I'm pretty careful. Pollenated females I grow out either outside or in a bright window. They don't need as much lighting, and at 29 cents a KWH, the tent is for smoke only...
These are just done, literally. The Gold Glue to Sour Stomper was a CS reverse I did last fall, crossed a selected male end of June and just down.

Damn my plan was to put it in the veg tent and I thought by doing that it would be isolated enough. Thank you so much for your input I really appreciate it.

Hi again Arthur,

So the way I think I'm going to deal with it is use a spare 2.5' x 2.5' tent I have for producing seeds while doing Mass pollination. It'll be in the other room that's still in the basement. Something I thought of to help prevent my flower tent from being infected. Is to tape HEPA charcoal filter sheets over the intake of my tents. Do you think this will solve my problem?

It'll help. I think you'd be better off making the pollenating area hepa contained instead, and try and keep everything outside of it clear of pollen rather than just try and keep the flowering tent clear.

Hi Arthur,

First off just wanted to say I'm so grateful for you chiming in to help. I actually planned to put HEPA charcoal filter sheets in all of the 3 tent intakes. I think I'll need to buy carbon filters for each of my three tents as well to help avoid pollen spreading. And I am going to use the 2.5ft x 2.5ft tent in my bedroom instead of producing seeds in the same room I'm producing flower. Kinda sucks though because I'll need to buy a new light and fans. Currently smell is not an issue so I didn't buy any carbon filters but I never expected pollen to be an issue. Please let me know if you see any flaws with this set up.

The Set Up
2- 3 x 3 x 6 tents for bloom
1- 3 x 4 x 6 (2 in 1 tent) for veg
1- 2.5 x 2.5 x 6 for producing seeds

Thanks again and happy growing!
