yeah for nex 1 im going whit cree led or 3w

for the price it isn't really that much better in the effency area??
for the small area you have i wouldn't bother w/ it as much as i would look at dif multiple waves more than the boasted output of the crees
i would look mostly at wide angle lens for your coverage seeing as penetration isn't as needed for the low height levels you will have
in that area a bunch of 3watters or narrow angle lens will make a very nice easy bake oven out of your pc

in regards to distance from plants, I have found the closer the better. I currently have my baby darkstars only 2 inches away from my 240 blackstar and i can tell a defference between when i had it higher up and lower in terms of net growth per day. closer definatly seemed to be better. if you have adequate circulation near top of the containers heat isnt an issue either.
