New Grower Dinafem White Widow Auto - Soil/270w LED

Apologies for the late response Kindred, I am going to go all at once to answer your question. I took a small sample from the smaller girl and dried it, attempted to grind it (not happening too sticky and not cured, grinder wouldn't spin!) So used scissors. It was kind of like a truck hit me after about 10 mins settling in - once the joint was burning it was nice, really nice. A warm mellow glow and soothing effect for sure. I bet with a proper dry and cure over time, will be splendid.

I am currently flushing the girls, for a few days to a week. The battery is charging now and am going to snap a few shots in a few...

Thanks for coming by Kindred!

Day 76 White Widow Auto Dinafem seeds - Soil + 270w LED (custom)

Hello AFN Brothers and Sisters,

Tonight I brought the girls into the tub and gave them each about a gallon of clean bubbled, filtered water. I saw a good amount of yellow and brown being washed away. When they dry up again I will do the same, and possibly once more. The Colors of the leaved are starting to change up, to a goldish color, some tips going totally purple.

They smell ripe. They smell done. They smell very thick, sweet, and spicy, I hate to say this but it is almost like..... you ever smell a baby diaper? Like take away the sh*tty smell of that, but its the same kind of funk. Almost like sweet rotten fruit- thats the best way to describe it... Sticky isn't the word for it. Totally completely happy with Dinafem. So enough jibber jabber, heres some new pics...

Peace and Love to all of you -

Yours truly, Blackbriar

DAY 78 - White Widow Auto (Dinafem)

Brothers and Sisters of the AFN,

Last night I chopped down one of my girls, the smaller of the two. I was running out of smoke and my back has been super pissed lately. I have decided to let my other big girl keep going . This smaller girl's trichomes were damn near 100% Cloudy, I spotted a few amber ones on the top buds. I wanted to share the pictures I took along the way last night. My big girl I am just going to keep flushing and ride her out. Here are the pictures. My fingertips on the black gloves were completely covered in white., the scissors didn't want to move after awhile!

I defoliated all the fan leaves, and basically branch at a time went through her - I was kinda picky as to which leaves I kept - meaning, I only separated the trim and leaves if the majority were covered. I have a very good amount of sticky frosted trim. Last grow this trim got me very baked! I had about 4 paper plates full that I put in the baking pan A lot of the fan leaves didn't have any frost so I chucked them. I also put some root pics in there in case you wanted to see it I put all the roots and soil into a big bin that I am using for my outdoor in the ground grow this year (Mossy's Jem) . I'm going to let you know how much I get off this one, how it smokes, and the stone once she dried and gets a little cure. Lastly I snapped a quick photo of the other big girl in the tent soaking up the light.

Yours truly,

Blackbriar

Here is a pic of the one girl remaining. I am undecided as to when I will take her down.

My company is looking like its going on the outs and will be closing in the future, so no more commission check :( I didn't have any money to buy any smoke and ran out of the last of my goods, luckily I had one girl to take. I will be set for some time now, so not in too much of a rush.

Good work, Briar! +rep Fantastic stuff here!

Good job bro !! Hope my widow gives me couple of buds that look as good as yours.

Thanks Noods!

Just curious as you have been along for the ride...

What is your preferred method for cutting them and drying?

Is there a benefit to cutting them with more stem , or leaving the sugar leaves on and then hang them?

To make hash, is it a waste of time if you only have a small amount of leaf?

Blackbriar

Trial and error, my friend. You have enough buds to try out a few different things and see what you like best. What's most comfortable and convenient for you. I've tried hanging whole branches, hanging just buds with only enough stem for a clothes pin... The thing that I like best, that I've done the last few harvests, is to trim the buds to how I like to have them when I take them out of the jar- tight. All the frosty parts of the smaller fan leaves and the sugar coated green stuff gets saved separately. Then the buds, with no more stems, go into the New and Improved Noods 2012 Bud Box to dry before going for the cure. (got pics somewhere, but I'm on my phone, so not right now)
I have it sitting in a spot where air is constantly circulating so there's no stale air in the box.

It's up to you how much hash you want to make my friend... Make yourself a small little batch, or save your trim in the freezer after it's good and dry, and then make a nice little brick when you get more gathered.
:smokebuds:

wanted to add to that last post - totally happy w/ finished product the quality is where I want it to be - completely - I just think that I can get them more dense - we will see what the next chop chop brings. Perhaps the one smaller girl just wasn't as beefy genetically.
