@Fast Buds Heather Should put a disclaimer on the pack of gelato seeds that says something like “Only grow ONE at a time when growing in autopots in a space 4x4 or smaller”

My only issue is the one on the right is looking like she wants to take up the entire 4x4 space they’re in... And the uptake in water/nutes. Seems like they drink near 5 gallons every 3 days right now.

Very rarely do I get girls that reach my cobshop decal.

This is the smaller of the two girls, and from the look of it, the faster finisher. Maybe this WILL give some comprehensive results on the pot size test...

The way the bigger girl is branching has me excited... who knows, maybe she’ll give me a pound or more.

So. I can put 5 gallons in the res on Sunday evening, And by Wednesday the res is almost dry.
I figured I had a leak somewhere, So I checked the d.e. I sprinkled around the area the hose goes into the aquavalve...and it’s dry. Around the base of the res outside the tent was dry. Everything is dry. These two are really consuming that much.
It almost doesn’t seem like two plants would drink almost a gallon of water a day, does it?

Given their size, and the fact that one is in a 5 gallon pot, I'd say that your reservoir consumption is not too unusual. Especially considering that neither is in a plastic pot -- both of your pots expire. By the way, I'd bet the Rh is pretty substantial? Those gals are probably perspiring quite a bit.

I usually keep RH at around 50-65%, Which usually just requires running a dehumidifier for a couple hours a day. The average Rh of my area is around 71%, But jumps to mid 80s when it’s rained for more than a day. Mid summer, it’ll only drop to low 50s, maybe 30s at the lowest. I’ve “got it easy” when it comes to drying and curing, Unless it’s the time of year it’ll rain for a month straight. All I really have to do is chop, hang for a week and jar it up. It’s usually pretty simple to keep the rh steady in the tent.

Okay, So. How do I stop this? Shut off the water flow for a few days? This is something I’ve never encountered.

Also, It appears that the copper thing that came with these DOES NOT stop roots.

Oh man... look at the trichs forming on the little one. I just noticed she has slight tip burn going on, too.
...I never said I was the most observant grower.

I had to raise the lights again. I actually broke down and moved the big girl toward the middle of the tent tonight.

whoa .. ROOT CREEP .. never seen anything like that from autopots before. Is that the RainScience (I doubt it) or the felt smart pot? You're gonna need some serious roots shears .. and you'd better be quick, those things could come after the wife and children.

Haha nah that’s the smart pot that came with that autopot set up. Kind of frustrating to see “The copper root disk stops roots from growing into your aquavalve...” and then have the roots grow THROUGH the copper thing, and into the aquavalve. But, then again, My faith in everything that’s been in autopots’ advertising is why my res, and both bases sit on big ol’ oilpans.

Between losing a seed, and finding it had sprouted and grown up from almost 6” of cover, To having roots completely ignore a “root stopper” and grow right through it like it wasn’t even there...these last few grows of mine have really shown that with cannabis, “Where there is a will, There is a way.” Isn’t just a saying from a crappy motivational poster.
