Dialing In MEGA CROP for Auto's

Don’t feel too bad @terp182 , you’re definitely not the only one struggling to dial it in. I’m getting better on some of my grows but ultimately always run into some lockout or another.
My current run is pretty much at the same age as yours, day 48, so it’s a reasonable comparison. The most ive given in a feed has been 3g/gal on this run and have been feeding every watering. I believe (with help from @Proph and @Mañ'O'Green) that it led to buildup in soil, and help from low pH, with the end result of some lockout. The sweet nurse on the left has faired a bit better than the other two

@4d-Rock are those looking better or is it my imagination?

Take the advice I've been giving, I've been running Megacrop since Version 1 and my grows prove that many people are just plain using too much! Keep your TOTAL ppms between 500 - 550 and add nothing. Since MC v2, no added cal/mag is needed. And Proph is right, people think every problem is a cal/mag deficiency when 80% of the time it's not. Also spots on leaves at the top of the plant is NOT Ca, yellowing and spots indicates excessive ppms and/or low PH, you need to take a runoff reading of your medium's ph. The yellowing id lockout of your micronutrients.
convenient
Look at this, obviously rootbound plant in a 1 gallon pot, feed MC @535 ppms since day 7 PH 6.45
( in soil, I'd run 6.2 - 6.3 in coco, I don't care what anyone says otherwise, keeping your coco PH there will give you a problem free grow, as long as you don't over feed )

Ok I have a more complete picture. I would top flush with PH 6.2 water to 50% run off then follow right away with 2g MC per gallon PH 6.2 to a 50% run off along with recharge or any other Mykos etc at half strength with the MC, Kelp, humic acid. Discard all of the run-off. Then refresh your reservoir with 3g/gal MC + 1g/gal Bud Explosion PH 6.0 PPMs about 550 total.

There is a lot of damage to the plants that will not recover. Do not worry about that now. If our strategy works the plants will put on a few new Fans.

:goodluck:

I also think, IMO, that "feeding schedules" are half of the problem also. Schedules are great to assuage people' ocd, but really does nothing for your plants. I've been feeding at one set ppm from start to finish for years and........ well you see the pic. I start feeding at 7-10 days also and start at my chosen full strength.

Thanks for this insight. For the couple weeks I had these 3 at 525ish they did pretty great.

I’m going to switch out the res as you described with no calmag or bud explosion added. Which feels silly to type as that was my original plan before I started finding tweaks others were doing!

Isn't it amazing that Greenleaf have never corrected their instructions.
Either online or on the bag.
Goes to show how an excellent product can lose credibility because of poor product support.
Kinna makes me wonder why nobody from Greenleaf have representation here.

.....can you hear the crickets??

heh I dunno, maybe?
The yellowing and discolouration definitely slowed down. It may also be that the left sweet nurse has also lightened up a bit so there isn’t the stark contrast from a more healthy looking plant.

This is also something that has really bothered me about the GL line. They have revised their formula and even changed the function of a product (sweet Candy from amino-carb supplement to a soil pk booster) yet the instructions and dosage schedules don’t seem to reflect or explain any of those changes.
