De-Carb Needed for a Tincture: Yes or No

I've made two batches so far. I boiled the tinctures in a water bath (+/- 165F) for a 1/2 vol reduction but it took several hours.
At 125 to 135 F, how long would it take you to reduce the alcohol volume by half?

As best I recall, cripes, it's been over a week since it happened so who knows what my memory will dredge up I mean I have been told by SWMBO that I'm losing it on a continual basis so ...................

Approx. 2 cups of tinc to start with.
I want to say it took about 3 hours.
