I googled it as you suggested, and you have it backwards. BST is 5 hrs ahead of Eastern Daylight Time.

This BST is new to me, I've heard of GMT Greenwich Mean Time, also called Zulu Time in aviation, all 4 hours ahead of EST. Does BST add an hour like Daylight savings time? or is it a different location farther east?
