coco really is my favorite medium, it always is the same! I pretty much get exact same results grow after grow, start to finish without issues, having full control over the grow... I totally love it and my preferred method!:d5::pass::smokeout:

once ya make the switch to coco, you'll never want use anything different again! I swear!:d5:
one thing to consider using coco, is what nutrients ya plan to run... since using coco allows you to fed your plants every single watering, instead of plain water, so you'll get the same speed as hydro, I do! but your nutrient cost will go up a bit, but will be saving a lot using coco, since it can be re-used and cost way less then any other product out there, with exception of hydro, but hydro has no buffer and coco does, thats what makes it the best! plus hydro relies on power and ph always goes out of whack, I like stability!!

honestly I pay less then 20$ delivered for 11lbs of coco, out of an 11lb brick i'll get 10-12 plants using 3gal pots... name one other medium besides hydro ya can buy for that... I do not know of anything!! I certain don't mean soil either, ya can compare or try to compare but coco will still come out cheaper every single time.. soil can't be reused!

Is there better Coco coir than others?
I'll tell ya the few I have not had any issues what so ever with! Mother Earth, CocoTex ,Cocogro, but any "Premium" coco will be fine, always make sure it's just coco, nothing else added, I always flush before using anyways, I know people debate that, but I just try avoid issues before they become an issue..Proactive type of thing!

Flushing...are you referring to the ones that have salts in them...so just make it a habit to flush regardless?

The idea of using coco is for control, I not understand when people add lime and other things to coco.. it doesn't respond like soil, people choosing not to ph should use a different medium then coco so ya can add the lime and pretty much have no control..and sit back and let it do it's thing I guess... I can't do it that way, but I guess some like that boring method. I'm a hands on type guy!

i use cocostar. and have never flushed mine

here is product quote :

The CocoStar Coconut Bale 70 L weighs just 8 kg in its dehydrated state and can be converted to 70-75 L of ready-to-use coconut substrate by adding approx. 18 L of water. During a sophisticated production process the coconut substrate is washed with fresh water and adjusted to the correct pH (6,4) level. CocoStar Coconut Bale 70 L contains natural Trichoderma fungi which promote root growth, improve absorption of nutrients and increase the vitality of plants. The substrate is suitable for outdoor cultivation (gardens, balconies) and for cultivation under artificial light. Our products are 100% organic, biodegradable and environmentally friendly

seems here flushing will deprive you of some useful fungi
