I live on a large fresh body of water that has aggressive hybrids (great to fish) and spotted gars

Hybrid white bass? Those are everywhere in any water here... I grew up in Alabama and miss the hell out of the bass fishing there

Dont sell yourself short, have you caught a 20 pounder of any fish? The fight can be tough.

Caught several dozen fish over 20 pounds

We have salmonsteelhead and northern pike/muskie

@Wawashell - I live in an area with some of the best freshwater fishing in the entire world.

walleye, pike, musky, smallmouth + largemouth bass(smaller than those in the south for sure, but lots of respectable 5 pounders), lake trout, brook trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, black crappie(smaller than in the south for sure), perch fishing is exceptional in the right spots.

Ive never pulled a pike that big through the ice......one day i hope i get the chance!!
