Could you shoot if you were pulling a 30 pound bow ar15?
All my bows are 60 pound draw except for the Mathews Z7 that is now 40 pound since switching out the limbs. Don't have any issues shooting, just limitation on holding up weight for long periods and not suppose to lift over 5 pounds. You can hear snaps and pops from my spine if I overdue it, then I'm down for days.

Ahh okay...the holding out part is the issue. Is it upper neck problems?
Thats just it man...check the weight of some of those bows! Recurves are crazy light...i forget how much mine weight, but its super light versus compounds

When i first saw my buds compound i was like "wow they are small compared to my old 90's PSE"...then i picked it up and said "Shit bud....and you walk around and hunt with that?" He laughed and said "Oh fuck no, i walk 300 yards and sit in the tree stand!" Ahahahahaha no shit, true story! :D

I think lots of the competition shooters for recurves shoot lower weights do they not?
Most shoot 40 to just over 50 pound for recurves. But with compound you have them shooting 40-80 pounds. I think pretty much anything over 60 pound is not worth it with the advancement the sport has now. My bows at 60# shoot over 300fps good enough for me.

My old recurve is finicky...she does NOT like carbon arrows...they come out all squirrelly every time....oddly enough aluminum come out or her like darts  I am guessing slug speeds compared to a compound :D

It has to do with the pressure it puts onto my lower spine, disc slips and pinches off my already narrowed spinal column. I then loose feeling in my arms so everything just drops to the ground.

Both the hunting bows weight about 6 pounds fully setup. I tried shooting from the wheelchair I have but it's awkward for me. I do have a ground blind. But now that I have the CHAMP permit I'm allowed to hunt directly out of my vehicle.

You have to get the correct spined carbon arrows. But also with recurve all the static energy is stored and released at the same time. I'm thinking with your weight/draw shooting a 32 inch arrow that your probably in the 400 spine range. Would have to look at the charts to be more accurate on spine but think I'm pretty close.

I bet you are right!! Just not properly setup with the right carbon arrow. I am only ever shooting small game with it anyways, usually not even that just target shooting at my buddy's range.

Well my friend....cbd part of the tincture is absolutely settled in now...i should hit the couch and relax for awhile before some sleep. Great talking to you bud, and have a good night
