I'm gonna try to do some pike fishing next time we go up to see my daughter at college. There is a lake not to far from there. Just trying to find a new left hand baitcaster that will be good.
amazing how far apart we are the fish looks like you caught it at the lake 5 mins down my road .iv seen the lake trout you guys get also there more of a rareity for us not too many of those old boys knocking around anymore.
I've been doing archery for over 20 years. I was on a few sponsored/staff shooter companies but had to resign do to my back. For my hunting bows I still have a Bowtech Invasion, Mathews Z7 and for my indoor spot bow is a Maitland Zeus. I always wanted to try shooting traditional.
I shoot a lighter recurve....tall guy with a long reach so i shoot a 39pound draw at 28", but with a 31" draw, which is said to add 3-5 pounds per inch over 28". So whipping them out there at around 51 pound draw

I love pike fishing...some days (mid may- early june) the action is furious around here for pike....not uncommon to get 20 fish(or more) on a good day in the 5-10 pound class with a shot at a 15-20

Too bad about the lakers....our gov stocks lake trout in several waters...7 days until the "smackdown" lake opens (lake trout lake that we do REALLY well) Not alot of big ones....but number of fish caught in a day is insane

unfortuneatly no one stocks the lakes here and the management and protection is very poor in the last 10 to 15 years we have had a large population of easten europen people move to our country and while im not sayin they cant move to better them selfs or whatever the reason is but they come from a differnt culture where 90% of the fish are not returned so stocks have been destroyed theres only a fraction of what there used to be also been a massive increase in poaching with nets etc us locals do what we can but its out of controll
