Hey there!

:welcome:

Here begins my journey from seed to harvest of Sweet Seeds Crystal Candy ^_^.

As most of us know, sweet seeds completely rock and have been a corner post at AFN for many years, providing us with lovely competitions and seed prizes for AFN monthly and yearly competitions! Their genetics rock .. and i'm always pleased to have sweet seeds in the tent or even better... in the jars! :D (harvested obvs.. lol)

So a HUGE :thanks: to Tommy & Jay and the Sweet Seeds bunch!! :d5:

Here's the grow specs for the curious ^_^

1 x Autopot (20 litres)
Soil: Biobizz Light Mix
Ammendments: Biotabs starter kit including Startrex, Mycos, & biotabs - later on Bactrex, BoomJuice & BioPK
Light: Grownorthern Telos
Extraction: Ruck
1 x Small tube heater.

So it's a very basic grow that will rely on .... Water.... A light .... and me stuffing some tabs in the soil in 20 days.

Here's some pics to break up my elongated intro! :D

I'd like to invite mr @Biotabs F69 over here if you don't mind! I'm sure the Sweet Seeds bunch & Biotabs bunch will get on Wonderfully!

For those that don't know - using biotabs and autopots is a really easy way to grow nice organic fruits with super delicious results! Here's a picture of the starter kit!

Can i ask why two in one pot and so close together?

Can i ask why two in one pot and so close together?

Hey!! :D Welcome!! I'm glad you asked - because i didn't want to just Ramble about it!

So basically last year, my germination (or early starts) were shockingly poor! (not the genetics or my dubious skills - they we're at a steady level lol)
Environmental effects (too much heat or too cold) basically messing up my starts!

I've been holding off due to poor weather - but now things have picked up, i wanted to "get it on!!" ... so i germed 2 in my usual fashion (paper towels, ziplock bag, box, heatsource) and they obviously both popped.

THEN i got really ham handed lol and the hole i made for the seed was too dry and deep .. and seed went in ALL wrong - on it's side ... ugh.

So i damped down the soil and thought "that's not gonna come up" ... and made a smaller hole in the same area (with that green pipe cleaner) and dropped my second germed seed in there.

I'd always planned to get 2 going ... but will thin down to one when i see which is looking the best.

So in the famous words of the spice girls ... 2 become 1

I have tried all different methods of germination best so far has been soak medium with PH tap water push seed with finger 1/2 inch into soil. Cover and soak a bit more put cup over dirt place in dark 70 degree area come back 3 days to a sprout.

While its young you can replant without much downtime if done right. I take a small paint brush and brush out the soil to get to very bottom of root. After its out look at shape of root dig same path in new medium and brush dirt back over root. All this is done while mediums are wet.

I think she is planning on both going. Not sure but thats how i took it. But i believe when that was done before one over powers the other and either killed other or both died not sure. Should be easy to google one pot two plants
