Old Reviews Coast of Maine Stonington Blend

Hmm interesting. Thanks for that.

Dumb question but I'm assuming FFOF isn't considered a "living soil" so the Ph is super important there, but I guess not so much in CoM? I may try to split the watering with two plants to 6.5ph and two just with straight tap water (about 7.5ish after sitting out) to see the difference (although the whole point of this is to try and make life easier lol now already giving myself 2 buckets again ).
Yes I believe you are correct ffof and hf are just organic soils. CoM stoneington blend is loaded with microbes and other good stuff. I’m loving the switch from FF.

I'll add my hat into the ring here.

Starting third grow right now. Seeds germinating (3 Mephisto beans [Mango Smile, Walter White, and Strawberry Nuggets] and a freebie from Error Seeds CBD kush).

First two grows were in FFOF/HF blend with FF Trio. Got annoyed having to mix the nutes etc. especially when plants were in different stages. Looking forward to a nearly water-only grow with a couple of small top dressings throughout. Grew in 3 gallons before.

This grow:

CoM Stonington Blend. No perlite added. CoM Seedling Starter in middle solo cup size in top of pot. 5 gallon pots. Have the two amendments from CoM recommended in the AutoFlower guide and will try and follow that. Ph of water from tap is usually 7.8ish. I'd prefer not to use PhDown as often as I had to in FF grow, but don't see another option w/o having Ph all out of whack. Have AC Infinity fan/setup and try to follow VPD as accurately as possible.

Hoping for a nearly "set it and forget it" type of grow with watering every few days and no need to worry about nutes constantly.

Only grown two at a time before, first time growing 4 at once. And in 5 gallons, my 3x3 might get a little tight but I'm excited for it!

Seeds are germinating in paper towels now, soil is in tent getting acclimated, will probably put the beans in their final pots this evening. Will update with pictures once there's anything exciting to show!
I use pure organic Aloe juice to PH down… a little goes a long way and the Aloe helps the roots grow..

This summer I am transitioning to a more living soil that I will be building in the back yard.
It helps that I live in Adirondacks so the soil I'll be starting with is already loaded with goodness. I'll be adding CoM Lobster compost until I get my compost pile up and running. I will also use 1 full bag of Stonington amendment to help jump start things.

Ok friends, today is day 39 of veg for my plant. She started showing sex about 4 days ago. The plant is small but I expect it to gain height for another 3 weeks. Not much else to say other than that. I will more than likely upload some pictures within the next couple days. She is drinking more, and starting to grow a lot better. Time is everything for autos, but I would be fine if she takes a bit longer to finish.

@Newman’sOwn I Definitely recommend the second feeding of CoM plant food with the buds and bloom at the beginning of flower. I will be adding that on my second run with CoM stoneington soil

Looking forward to watching this one. Nice setup:headbang: :pop: :goodluck:

Day 7. Definitely going to beat my day 10 deadline for second set of true leafs being equal to or bigger than the first set of trues. Could be the best seedling I’ve grown yet

Been reviewing my plan and was just reading the CoM autoflower feeding schedule and it says for vegetative growth feed once at the start of week three. To me that reads on day 15 I should apply my top dress as day 15 would be the first day of the third week right? Likewise the second top dressing would be either day 29 or day 36 for the beginning of week 5 or 6. Stoner thoughts thanks for reading the ramble:pass:
