Old Reviews Coast of Maine Stonington Blend

Sure is strange at 15 days.
This may be a long shot but if you have a local swimming pool-spa store call them up and ask them if they will test your water. My in laws take a sample to our local store and have their hot tub water tested monthly. Not sure what the test for, but maybe worth a phone call.

Last grow I was using spring water and had the same problem, so I switched to tap half way through the grow. I doubt it's a water issue, just because all the CoM plants I seen in picture's with the same issue.
I just gave them some epsom salt in water, we'll see in a few days if that's the issue.

I'm only on my 5th CoM grow, but have never noticed anything like that before.
Keep us posted.

Here are my current 3 Mephisto Skywalkers

The only thing I have left to try if I do not have a Mg deficiency is my light. I am using 5-100watt led boards daisy chained together in my tent. Currently at 24" and 50% power. Light stress/burn can also mimic a host of nutrient issues, from the pictures I have seen on line.

Hey @Badfinger just to give you a reference mine is under 2 100w bestva full spec led boards running at 100%. Not exactly sure on distance but somewhere right around 24”from top of pot pretty sure. I’ll check and edit if it’s different distance.

I'm still hoping its Mg, cause all my leaves have the signs. Light burn would be just the tops, I would think. But to add to my confusion, Mg deficiency is supposed to start on lower leaves, not the whole plant at once.
Two grows in a tent, two different strains, same symptoms. Common denominators, fabric pots, same light, same medium. two different water sources.
I'm gonna shit myself if its something as simple as watering habit. Due to their age, I have yet to drench the pot.

Yup I hear ya and completely understand. Don’t let me grow style confuse you. I am newbie and this watering method I am doing is new to me. There definitely is a balance issue for autos it seems like to but what exactly I’m not experienced or knowledgeable enough to know. I am just letting you know how much light I was putting to the plant. maybe to help your decision on what to do? My lights are 32” from top of pot 100% power.

From my experience which isn’t much and the more I watch my plant IMPO I think it’s too much calcium. So maybe adding more mg will help balance it out? But I am not telling to add or not to add the Mg. I am just really digging being able to share my experience with someone that is growing the same way. I know sometimes text can get miss understood I don’t mean to offend. I just hope we can get this soil dialed in for the both of us.

also got my CoM double grape out of the tent last night and started some training before it got too late. She seemed to love it a hr later heads were already turned up and growing.

I had the same issues with my first COM grow, but I was using distilled water form the store, which ended up being RO water with nothing added. Kinda stupid for me to buy water, when I have a pond out back to pull it from. Anytime I’ve had red stems this was corrected by adding Epsom salts and ensuring the water was at the correct PH. I’ve realized by accident, it takes a few minutes for the PH to stabilize. If you look at the chart, some nutrients are locked out based upon the PH of the water. I corrected the PH and gave my plants a blast of all that built up nitrogen.. oops.

My first grow was so deficient in Calcium and Potassium they smelled like gasoline. Not even my carbon filter would help. You can see from these LSD Auto pictures the leaves of our plants look very similar. This was my first grow and I pulled 6 ounces off of three plants, not too bad.

Keep at it, my second grow with COM after it was amended is coming along much nicer.
The first three pictures are from the LSD grow, the last one is a picture from the second grow, Day 41. No yellowing as before.

Alright guys. Well its day 21 for my purple punch auto. It looks like a day 12 plant right now   . I feel as if this was my error though. I have never grown in soil before, so I easily could have been making every mistake. I know for a fact I made a mistake by not ph'ing my water to 6.3, so unfortunately my plant has been getting ph 7 water the past 21 days. To be more fair to the CoM soil, I am going to be starting two new plants in the Soil within the next week. I will keep the one I have now going, and keep updating about it, but I don't think I can judge the soil based off that plant.

As far as the purple punch goes, I am supposed to top-dress today, but the medium is still wet and as I understand it, you need to water after topdressing. I will be topdressing with the plant food in about 2 days, when its time for a watering. I will be posting pictures here when I update.
