Old Reviews Coast of Maine Stonington Blend

2 more going. After the last round I took the soil and dumped it into a container root ball and all. Then added more Stonington dry amendment, and worm castings and all my old unused trimmings. Moistened and let sit for a couple weeks.
1 in a 3gal and 1 in a 5 gal.

Flowering are 3 Skywalker using only CoM Stonington soin and amendment but for some reason they never really grew. 2 in one pot ( long story) one topped one not.

Ordering a second ViparSpectra XS 2000 later today.

Alright friends. Today is day 28 I believe for my purple punch. I top dressed a few days ago but forgot to take a picture :baked: . Here she is. Small for four weeks, but no signs of flowering. Definitely stunted but looking okay otherwise. I also planted two new seeds yesterday, and they should sprout within the next couple days.

I have to report, the odd discoloration seems to be gone. Unfortunately, I don't know if the Epsom salt did it, or the feeding 8 days ago. I do think if I ever do an Epsom salt treatment in the future, I will do a foliar spray, as I have read you wont get any lockout's as you would applying it to the soil.

Thanks for the rep friends. I have yet to check my garden today, and I will after posting this, but hopefully my plants have sprouted. Either way they should be above ground within the next couple days. Also would like to add, the dry amendments definitely smell   . I have never used dry amendments before, so it was a real treat walking into my grow room yesterday to the potent smell of what I can only describe as hamster food with a fishy twist.

Edit: updated days

Here is my 5gal coda grow bag with CoM soil RO water only mepthisto double grape sprouted 2/6/22 Day 36 . I will update this evening when I get home with exact days. I’m at work now. But wanted to join the party :pass:
looking good everyone:toke::d5::smokeout:

Sometimes it feels likes watching a plant grow can be about exciting as watching paint dry. But with a little time warp, you get reassured your making progress.

Here is 3/5/22 and 3/15/22, oh how 10 days makes a difference.

I'll add my hat into the ring here.

Starting third grow right now. Seeds germinating (3 Mephisto beans [Mango Smile, Walter White, and Strawberry Nuggets] and a freebie from Error Seeds CBD kush).

First two grows were in FFOF/HF blend with FF Trio. Got annoyed having to mix the nutes etc. especially when plants were in different stages. Looking forward to a nearly water-only grow with a couple of small top dressings throughout. Grew in 3 gallons before.

This grow:

CoM Stonington Blend. No perlite added. CoM Seedling Starter in middle solo cup size in top of pot. 5 gallon pots. Have the two amendments from CoM recommended in the AutoFlower guide and will try and follow that. Ph of water from tap is usually 7.8ish. I'd prefer not to use PhDown as often as I had to in FF grow, but don't see another option w/o having Ph all out of whack. Have AC Infinity fan/setup and try to follow VPD as accurately as possible.

Hoping for a nearly "set it and forget it" type of grow with watering every few days and no need to worry about nutes constantly.

Only grown two at a time before, first time growing 4 at once. And in 5 gallons, my 3x3 might get a little tight but I'm excited for it!

Seeds are germinating in paper towels now, soil is in tent getting acclimated, will probably put the beans in their final pots this evening. Will update with pictures once there's anything exciting to show!

This is what CoM told me about phing your water with TLS. Now that was for RO water also. So take that into consideration.

"As a living soil the ph of your water will make very little difference because the soil is naturally buffered and will return quickly to it’s natural PH."

I have not added any ph adjusting to my CoM water only grow using RO water. Plant seems to love it and it’s healthy and green. My RO water test ph 7.0-7.5 after sitting. Hope that helps :d5::toke:

Hmm interesting. Thanks for that.

Dumb question but I'm assuming FFOF isn't considered a "living soil" so the Ph is super important there, but I guess not so much in CoM? I may try to split the watering with two plants to 6.5ph and two just with straight tap water (about 7.5ish after sitting out) to see the difference (although the whole point of this is to try and make life easier lol now already giving myself 2 buckets again ).
